today, i got the prompt to update.. for local MI 11T Pro set

feels ok so far. will see how it goes over the next 2 days. didn't bother to factory reset my phone though.

but i don't like that the power button summons Google Assistant. last time can easily disable, but this time, i can't seem to find the option to disable it.

anyone can help?

hmm.. looks like i need to do a factory reset this time around..

battery drain quite bad. i see some apps went rogue on me. will, usually bigger Android updates do tend to have such issues.

only thing is.. dem painful having to reset phone.. somehow, Android can't seem to be able to restore my apps automatically.. still end up having to manually install from Google Play.

but good also.. time to review end ignore those apps I've not used in s long time

factory reset my Mi 11T Pro after getting MIUI 14. feels better after reset.

have to admit.. still lots of ads (recommendations) that needs to be disabled. steps mentioned here are still valid:

if anything, Xiaomi seems to have added a few more things like GetApps. feels like this is a 3rd party apps store (under Mi or just JV, not sure). cannot uninstall. then there's also Game Center -- looks like another apps to download games? again cannot uninstall.

but otherwise, feels good to have a "fresh" phone.

Game Center i mentioned here is different. The one that boost gaming is Game Turbo.

Game Center is another apps store, just like GetApps.

i have mi 11T Pro, so, not sure can compare properly for the Control Center. i actually prefer the new style and have been using it even for MIUI 13. found the new style nicer and i actually like this a lot. if you swipe on the left side, you get your notifications, and if swipe down on the right side, you get the quick controls.

anyway, i tested and switched to old style... i can swipe down to get the quick controls (like turn off WiFi) and i can see my app notifications at the bottom, like my whatsapp messages... is this what you mean?

how come dun like new style? i think it's nice...

i did a full reset after getting MIUI 14... painful. but i think that's best...

oh... didn't know can see data usage there.

i guess like u said... preference. since u mentioned earlier it stops working after a while, i can try la... later today and watch it for next few hours.

my Mi 11T Pro battery starting to show signs of deterioration... battery dun last as long anymore and once hit 20%, it can drop to 5 in just a few minutes of web browsing... replacement cost is about rm150+ (based on Mi website)...

and this phone battery is one of the more expensive ones... haiz...

the higher than normal battery price makes me think twice about changing... but also means gaming on this phone not so easy now..

yeah, i'm also a bit worried about dodgy sites.

as for battery... i got similar quote for battery replacement. i think i'll go ahead and do that soon.

battery don't last that long on my 11T Pro now. it will stay quite sometime at 100 (i think somehow Xiaomi tweaked it to stay at 100 for long time to give false impression -- noticed this even on day 1), and then drop very fast to 10 or there about..

rm218. just had it replaced at MV. very fast and good service.

mi 11T Pro was in the drawer for the last few months as I had not gotten around to changing the battery.

did it today and decided to just check system update..


nice. very nice. very surprised that the 11T Pro getting this update.

no. didn't change region. left it as it is. in fact, it was off and in my drawer for a few months until i changed the battery recently. then checked and saw got update.

just that i didn't expect Xiaomi to have update for this phone. so it's nice thing.

in fact, today, got another security update, which is nice..

not so nice though.. is suddenly see a green line across the screen from top to bottom... :S

i just dun feel it's worth to change it at RM600. i dun think this model can expect any more updates...

plus, i actually changed the battery just earlier this year...
