honestly, i still miss EMUI. one of the better and i'd say quite refined UI. gives users lots of options to customise. and very little of those "silly" bugs.

given any day or time, i'd still love to have Honor, but... Honor now is a bit different from before. they no longer the budget sister company. they dun have good flagship-spec phones that cost rm2k or below. maybe still too early for honor.

this is why i ended up trying Xiaomi. still got top processor for rm2k. but the MIUI... just have to swallow la...

it's not so bad to the point it's not usable. I'm using it now.. value for money.

if you ask me to list now.. also difficult.. in a sense, I've just gotten used to it and get on with it.

when i was testing, not really feel it. but i guess it could just be trying to search for network and having to switch between 5G and 4G... coz not many places have 5G.

the Vo in VoLTE and VoWIFI stands for Voice Over...

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) will allow you to have voice call over LTE/ 4G. otherwise, when call comes in, your phone will drop to 3G (or is it 2.5/ Edge since 3G being shutdown) and will disrupt your data.

VoWifi allows you to make and receive calls via Wifi. If your telco signal is weak in your house but your phone is connected to WiFi and have good signal, you can then get good quality calls (supposedly),

maybe manufacturers are already doing that to protect battery?

then again, for me, i prefer just gimme 100%. what is the point having big battery and then limiting it's use?

or maybe manufacturers will in future just say it's 4000mAh battery when it comes with 5000mAh. that way, already accounted for 80%. and when charged to 4000mAh, it shows 100%. or, maybe some will prefer charge till 5000mAh but show 80%?

my point is... i think this battery protect feature is kinda useless.

wanna ask... how is MIUI13/ Android 12? all ok? i'm still pushing back on the update coz read got issues.

but if just dark mode is the main pain point, then still ok for me.

gotten prompt for 13.0.3.0 with security patch dated February.

had a scare over the weekend. was about to go out when my phone restarted -- then it was just stuck at the MI logo for quite a while. eh, my Mi 11T Pro having boot issue like my Mi 10T Pro?

decides to just wait it out... after like 5+minutes, finally restarted and...

i purposely did not update and left my phone at MIUI 12.5... seems somehow i accidentally initiated the update. now it's at 13.0.6...

luckily didn't break any work apps. but just need to get used to some of the display things... fonts seem bigger. :S

i noticed this is now off and on thing. one time, i powered down the phone and then charge... can reach 100. then it seems ok for a few days...

but after that, every now and then... again phone seems to stop charging at 94%. but off and on charger... then can go 100%.

so far, not seeing this issue.

are you sure you're not accidentally deleting it? coz the fingerprint can unlock quite easily.

then also, are you using those cleaner thingy... i am not sure if the cleaner, etc that is part of "Security" might have deleted your apps...

backup... very old method -- copy out. have tried using cloud but it is sometimes too slow. but even with connecting to laptop and copying it out, big folders like Whatsapp can take a bit of time. so usually, before i backup, i clear whatsapp of any unnecessary images.

u know Google Photo backup now no longer unlimited yeah? unless you have subscription, else it'll eat into your Google Drive space..
