QUOTE(steven_0627 @ Nov 28 2015, 12:35 PM) May i know this is which type? As I know, Nissan SC use Matic D with 40k change interval.http://www.e-vanli.com.my/webshaper/store/...kProductItem=34 The mechanic use this last time for my car but he claim that gear oil normally change every 20k. I just call to nissan sc and the guy that say change every 40k or 2 years which ever come first. I am bit confuse |

QUOTE(overclockalbert @ Jul 26 2016, 11:41 AM) I am going to change my 2012 NGL 1.6A 15" tyres soon. What tyres are you using currently? Satisfied? Any good recommendation for tyre which did not sacrifice fuel consumption. i'v been browsing thru the forum and come across this 2 model XMS2 and CC5. Price range should be around RM210~RM230. Anyone here can recommend any good tyre shop in Penang which is good one? thanks Typically, XM2 priced about RM20-40 higher than CC5. Island or mainland? I understand that mainland is slightly cheaper. |

QUOTE(mck_cf @ Mar 21 2018, 01:29 PM) Yup, this time is passenger side, just receive nissan letter with "URGENT" red word on top of the letter dated 8Feb2018 but i receive on 19Mar2018 😅. With scheduled appointment, I got it done below 1 hour.Heard from friend it take 3 to 4 hours to replace, i think actual time needed to replace the airbag not that long, because follow SOP queing up that may take the most of time to wait..... |

QUOTE(mck_cf @ Jul 9 2018, 08:00 PM) Actually the cost of iridium spark plugs (4 pcs use for 100k km) not much different compare to the total cost of normal spark plugs used for 100k km, it just that 1 time pay RM200-300 make people feel costly where else for normal spark plugs pay around RM30-40 each time (but only use 10k-15k km). Personally prefer longer lasting ones. Not keen on regular change or sudden failures. Ya, iridium spark plug last longer typically around 100k km, also can feel car more powerful bit. QUOTE(KB1 @ Jul 10 2018, 02:04 PM) That's what I heard and it could be the reason iridium spark plugs are recommended. |

QUOTE(A1700 @ May 6 2019, 10:31 PM) Just sharing. Good to know that I just replaced the lower arm (both site), subfame bushing for my 11 years old 1.6 Latio 2 weeks ago at Penang here, total spend about RM1.3K. Far cheaper than Nissan that quote me about RM2.4K (parts only). The lower arm are originally set from Nissan, where the subframe bushing 2 pcs look solid (Japan brand) according to workshop. Overall I felt that : - The car more stable during cornering. - No more 'tak tak" sound when drive over the humps. - Less vibration and etc. Quite satisfy after replaced the lower arm + bushing, hope the car can be drive for another 5-10 years. At almost 190k km, I also just replaced both sides of the front lower arms for the first time. RM370 for the pair excluding labour. Other parts replaced were front absorber, absorber mounting, absorber boot, stabilizer bush, suspension arm, etc. to eliminate the subtle sound during sharp turns. Vibration sound from passenger side solved by replacing the air flow rubber gaskets. |

QUOTE(A1700 @ May 18 2019, 04:27 PM) This week I'm also replaced the front wheel bearing (both sites), total RM700. Wheel bearing for Latio is cheaper compared to Livina. For that amount, can only change for one side only. For Livina, the wheel bearing comes together with a hub as a set. L-side very bad so noisy and R-side got sound also and decided to replaced both. Just sharing. |

QUOTE(mck_cf @ May 19 2019, 07:15 PM) Mine replaced Any reason for not replacing all 4 ignition coils at the same time?1. Plug coil 2 pcs few months ago (due to sudden faulty). 2. Both side front wheel bearing last month. Yet to replace engine mounting & balance 2 pcs plug coil (which i think may soon due) |

QUOTE(shortiesphreaks @ May 21 2019, 09:47 AM) wow.. 11 years.. mine just about 5 years+. clocking 110k+ & now they advise me to change engine mounting, subframe lower arm etc.. If using original parts, I would think the price would be almost the same as TCEAS coz outside workshop also source from TCEAS or the authorized distributors. Peace of mind...TCEAS SC quote me around ~RM2.3K (parts only) for below items: 1. Subframe: RM1337.50 2. Lower arm: RM365 X 2 3. Anti roll: RM27 X 2 4. Bottom mounting: RM247 They advise me to change all above on 2 stage after I change the other engine mounting today (which will cost me RM264 parts only). I'm looking for 2nd thought before I proceed with 2nd stage. Any advise whether I should seek for outside workshop? Im kind of worry about quality & genuine replacement parts that outside workshop will be using. But at the same time the price that SC quote is quite expensive. Anyone have replaced all those parts with TCEAS SC? The advantage of doing outside are lower workmanship cost and perhaps offering repair options instead of replacements in some situations. |
