recently noticed my gearbox delay a bit in the morning only, afternoon no delay.

Sent to tan chong, they told me need to change gear box.

but I have a service on tan chong , changed gear oil engine oil...

the next day no more delay ....

do I still need to change my gearbox ??
*
No need change. Gearbox is costly to change just based on one instance. Frequent occurrence might be a symptom of problems ahead.

Changed gear oil filter before?

How old is your car?

only change gear oil, didn't add in the treatment.

yup , he told me second hand gb is about 4k... bye.gif

To stop leaks on transmission, you may consider KW TransX...
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rdYwLUXyTTQ

Depending on severity, might be worth a shot.

Actually second hand transmission usually means refurbishing. You can either refurbish your own transmission with longer time at workshop. Or ‘exchange’ your transmission with a refurbished one.

Not necessary to change atf filter. If change, make sure it is the original.

I trust the 40k and my car get gearbox delayed issue, after I changed the maintenance to 15k-20k, my gearbox back to normal

So I believe my experience than book

It could be the case of fully and semi synthetic ATF used.

Agree with you on the shorter interval. I change around 20k km. gearbox will cost a bomb if it breaks down.

I m using Genuine ATF from Nissan, i dont see got 2 category for ATF
*
If using ATF from Nissan, should last 40k km. Like you mentioned, better to keep a shorter interval.

fyi,

last saturday morning noticed that my car had a heavy leaking of engine oil..

i bought a new engine oil and refill it , thought i can drive to my usual workshop to repair it.

but after refilled, noticed that the leaking was very serious like water pipes...

not dare to drive as worry will damage my engine and call a tow to the nearest nissan center..

after checking, they told me it was due to the oil pressure switch (RM80+)

replaced a new oil pressure switch + top up engine oil ( RM 150) +labour (RM 90 )...total about RM 300+

my car is about 8 years old, recomended you all to change it before it's broken ...

i just service my car few weeks ago, therefore, i'd already spend 3 x RM 150 for engine oil... the switch is only cost RM 80

Luckily you noticed the oil leak.
Any indication of low oil pressure light warning?

For me recently, car stalled at traffic lights. Gear at N, and unable to engage D or any other gears. Physically the shift was smooth and easy but no gears actually engaged.

Had to tow to workshop. First time stalled and towed in 12 years.

Problem due to bushing of the gear cable. Livina's gear cable comes with bushing in a set. Mechanic says cable is still ok. Just replace the bushing with Daihatsu bushing which is similar to Livina.

Thanks for sharing, learn new thing.
From google/youtube seem many cars not only nissan have this issue. Online shopping also many people selling this bushing (specific brand/universal) RM10-30, can consider diy replace.

Yes... mechanic told me the bushing cost around RM30.

As for your engine oil leak, any indication of low oil pressure light warning?

I'm using this profile since 1st tyre change.

The brands would depend on your budget and usage. Check out the Tyre Talk section.

I'm using Dunlop J5 now.

Hello guys, anyone bought engine mount from Shopee / Lazada?
I have 1 confirmed RH mount gone, diagnosed by an experienced but kinda expensive foreman.

https://shopee.com.my/NISSAN-JAPAN!!...234.10108180972

My question is whether these are really genuine / original? I was kind of expecting close to RM600 per set for original.

So many claiming OEM / OEM Japan bla bla, I believe for car spare parts OEM means 3rd party....right?
*
Not original Nissan parts. The price difference with original parts could be very significant. You can easily check out the price by calling up Tan Chong Service.

With cost savings, some are okay with OEM parts as long as not critical components.

Tan Chong themselves are making parts....what do they actually sell if we are to bring into the service center? Forgive me but I bought my car 2nd hand and have not ever sent it back in. In any case I dont plan to.
*
Tan Chong do not make all parts. Some they buy from their sub contractors and sell under Tan Chong.

You can just buy parts from Tan Chong without fixing there.
