Hi all,

I've been waiting for the car for 3 weeks, still no news, the sa told me that 1.6 is currently out of stock. Anyone of you face this problem?

Hi guys and owners of NGL, I'm contemplating to get either an 1.6A or 1.8A NGL. What I would like to know based on the actual usage & driving experience of the NGL which would be an better choice. From the information that I have gathered, the 1.8 seems to be a force to reckon with on the highway so I'm guessing it gives better FC as compared to its 1.6 counterpart.

Are there any major concerns or problem with the NGL line-up? Also, what is the best package going about for the NGL nowadays? Have enquired at 2 different branches with each having different offerings. Mainly, whats the lead time for the delivery of the NGL?

Your feedback is much appreciated.

hi xai-v

depend on ur need , if u always travel around 1.8 will be best
if on city 1.6 will do
fc is actually depend on ur right foot , is a very good fc car i would say no matter 1.6 and 1.8 but on highway 1.8 will do better than 1.6
the 1.8 can easily reach 150k/m
about the problem so far for 1.8 never heard before but 1.6 yes belt screaming in the morning or when engine is cold after done 10000km or more ,check here http://www.mylivina.com/forum/index.php/topic,813.0.html

as for package and discount u have to nego with them , they give diff discount to individual , delivery time also depend on stock available
just remember nego kau kau with them and hope this help

regards

Before i finalized my purchase with Puchong i asked other branches as well and was told the discount is now limited to RM3000 only.
i think this is because Nissan finds that Perodua's ALZA is not going to compete against Livina. Hence they lower down the discounts.
i got RM4500 discount early January 2010. It took me a week to get the car after i signed the loan document. Maybe bcoz the 1.6A orange color has available stock.

To j's beadz, i did not get the leather seat and bodykits as it is cheaper and more choices of color to get it outside.

To All,

Does your GL gives you steering alignment problem? as in you position your steering to center and yet the car seems to drift to sideways..

ANYONE here installs a PC with Touchscreen in Grand Livina rather than just to use the music player?

GL 1.6A owner for just over a year. Averaging 400 km for RM65, @ RM1.80/litre. Managed to squeeze up to 539 km this CNY driving at about 80-90 kmh in highway. That was the best mileage I could get so far. City driving some times only get 370 km.

hi all!! need help here.....

well.. my family is thinking about buying grand livina or or freed..
so we went for test drive for both cars today..
just wondering which car is more worth to buy it...

below are my points of view..
>>GL looks nicer compared to FREED which is so flat n box at the back..
>>GL beige color seats will get dirty earsier than FREED's dark grey color seats..
>>GL is 40k cheaper than FREED!! (a very attractive price for mini MPV)
>>GL's back seat is warmer compared to FREED (based on what i felt when sitting at the back)
>>GL's back seat range is quite small lol.. like avanza's.. (i dont like it.. cuz my leg is long? @.@) for FREED it's qute comfortable sitting at the back.. n i wont feel being left out cuz there's space to the front..
>>when i'm inside GL i can feel the sounds from the outside is louder compared to FREED
>>GD is not so smooth when moving compared to FREED
>>FREED's steering is light n more smooth compared to GD? (based on what my dad's said)
>>GD is 1.6 / 1.8 but FREED just 1.5 (scare cannot go up till genting or cameron =.=)
>>FREED has 2 sliding doors which looks quite cool (like alphard) but the doors might not movin automatically as time passed.. GD no involve in this..
>>the door handle of FREED looks nicer than GL.. GL's feels like "plastic"? (i dont know how to describe this..)

well.. that's all, i think.. =.=

for me.. i prefer FREED despite of its looks.. =.=
but for my mum.. she prefers GRAND LIVINA.. (cuz price is cheaper!)
i also told her that, if she buy GL, i wont sit at the back seat..
cuz it's so warm at the back n it's sempit lol..
i cant tahan tad.. =.=

so how?? which is more worth??

hope to receive feedbacks from you guys.. TQ so much!!

Hi heart7kreuz,

I agreed some of ur point of views stated above, I cant give much comparision as I have not tested Freed.

Based on reviews, NGL and Freed almost the got the same dimension but NGL is longer in length and Freed is higher in height. I may assume Freed underpower due to its weight is heavier than NGL where Freed is 1.5L compare with NGL 1.6L/ 1.8L. In terms of exterior, I would prefer NGL especially with the Impul Aerokit. Freed interior is look high tech than NGL.

Overall I would say NGL is value for money and its the most affordable MPV in town among Japan cars. 40k can get another car, so u can think abt it.
