The cheapest GL is 1.6 Manual at RM84,800. Do people actually go for this model or normally take 1.6 Auto which is slightly more expensive? My Wira now is Manual so I will have no problem with a Manual car. I like GL more than Avanza, but obviously GL is also more expensive than Avanza. Owners of GL, will you justify GL over Avanza?

One particular thing about my GL that I am not happy is that the audio player is not MP3 or WMA capable. I tried using a FM modulator with USB drive but pretty much useless, very bad reception. The audio player is 2-din type and I think it is not easy to find. When I sent my car for service, I read that Tan Chong provides an upgrade to MP3 and WMA capable 2-din type player, but at a hefty RM1,150, including trading in the original head set.

A shop quoted around RM800 for a 2-din Clarion player with MP3 capability, while another shop said that can choose a single din player with MP3/USB and add in a blank casing for RM30. But I was told that it will then void the original Clarion player warranty once changed. As my GL is only 6-month old, wondering whether is it really worth to change/upgrade?

GL 1.6A owner for just over a year. Averaging 400 km for RM65, @ RM1.80/litre. Managed to squeeze up to 539 km this CNY driving at about 80-90 kmh in highway. That was the best mileage I could get so far. City driving some times only get 370 km.

I don't know whether it is just mine or others are having these problems: my original Livina car battery only lasted 16 months, about 28500 km, while my rear wiper's rubber got peeled off automatically. Luckily my power windows are still intact.

When the fuel indicator shows Empty, I can normally pump between 35-39 litres of petrol, but Livina specifications stated that the fuel tank capacity is 52 litres. My question is whether there is always at least 13 litres of fuel at Empty level, or there is air in the fuel tank? Will the tank really takes in 52 litres?

My 1.6A Livina insured for RM85K 1st year, RM75K 2nd year, now I've been quoted to insure RM73K. Is RM73K the right sum or should be lower?

For owners of GL here, do you normally send the car for service at Tan Chong/Nissan Service Centres?

The front windscreen wiper from TC SC cost about RM130, and I can't find compatibles in any of the hypermarkets. Anyone knows where can get cheaper wipers?

Anyone having problem with the car battery? My 2nd battery died in the space of 26-month Livina. Even my original Wira battery lasted 3 years.

What is your mileage until your cooling coil becomes like this? Do you go TC service centre regularly, or outside workshops?

Where can i do the "aircond cabin filter"?

Since you've travelled 110k mileage, have you changed your tyres already, or still using the originals? I'm only at 60k, tyres still look OK, but itchy to change to Michelin.

I checked GL stock size of 185/65R15 for Michelin Energy XM2 was RM240 and if 195/60R15 for RM250. Just asked one place in Shah Alam so don't know how good the price.

Tried Michelin with my previous Wira in 2007 at RM135, very satisfied.

I encountered a few billings for "ValClean", "Octane Booster", and "HosPower" when I sent my GL to TCEAS for servicing. While I understand that these are supposed to clean the engine and enhance the performance, are they really necessary or good?
