Ok will take note.
But I seriously think insurance agents should at least have knowledge when it comes to saving money when it comes to taxes pertaining to insurance. Instead of just thinking about how to make as much money from their clients as possible.

For me financial planning is not that difficult. Mostly it's common sense that's all.
*
I suppose most business also think about maximizing revenue per customer, good example is Amazon. So why you so triggered about insurance agents doing the same thing?

You also made the assumptions that the agent contributors here are money grabbers? That’s one thing I still can’t understand since your first post.

Did someone here misled you in anyway before this and cost you financially?

As you said, financial planning is not difficult but I suppose this tax saving proposal that JiuHwei is proposing might just be what you are looking for. You can always ask how much he going to charge you and how much you can potentially save by implementing his idea. Isn’t that a net positive?

I am honestly still confused why you came in with such hostility.

🤔

And why should I get charged by enquiring if there is a structured plan that I can buy that enables me to save on taxes?

So you come out with a new menu and you expect me to pay when looking at the menu?

You see I am just asking about the tax savings on the life insurance health insurance and which plans I can buy to maximize that while preserving my monies at the same time.

Why is this so complicated. It's either you have the plan and I buy or you dun have.

And you continue asking me why I think agents are money grabbers.
*
Jiuhwei already said he got a solution for you. So are you willing to pay for that? You’re not just looking at the menu, someone is saying they got the solution.

You see doctor also pay for consultation and medication. You see lawyer also pay for consultation and other fees what.

So why can’t you pay for for his advice plus his commission?

Haiyah guys, don't feed the troll.

He's going to EPF / FD threads to flame others as well. Makan penuh, cari gaduh with everyone.

hmm.gif should we all just report him for banhammer.

I've already reviewed his style of post, he's just asking for the sake of asking (not really interested with whatever others have to say/solutions), then just flame baiting you and call you names (noob, idiot, Singapore better, you're dumber than me).

doh.gif I don't even know why we are entertaining a troll in Insurance Talk. Macam feels like becoming Fight Club now with this troll in here.

Life boring without drama that is all.

But seeing some of the other contributors voicing out I now know that perhaps this is one drama that we better stay away from.

Again you miss my point and continue reporting my post.

So asking about a simple plan online is akin to consulting.

If doctors are like that they be millionaires man.

I already have the solution. You just need to provide the plan that's all. You are assuming that I am asking for tax consultation when I am just asking if there is a structured insurance plan that help me to save taxes on the medical and life part. Like that is also consultation.

Even lawyers who are probably more competent then you guys do not stoop so low.

I have to salute your pupil though who has the audacity to request fees from a "trouble maker" like me.

How did you come to a conclusion that I reported your post?

What’s your evidence that I reported your post?

I actually really dun want to reply here anymore.
But seriously.
You see, at this point of time you have shown your true colours to everyone else
And I think you actually really want to charge me despite me being a trouble maker.
You see, even the admin knows what are your intention because normally a trouble maker like me is going to be banned.

Begged. Wow. See your words always contradicting one you know.

Of coz lah, now you write what you write because you know I am not going to pay you a sen. But your thick skiness in actually wanting to charge me had got to be applauded. Why no other customers arrr.

And like I said. This menu is not only for me to see but potential customers as well. See the respect you have for the other customers?

Never ever said that 22% is something to be proud of but just highlighting that I am not a fresh grad. But ppl like you just not too smart. For me, I recognize that I am nothing special based on my job or my salary. Special means every year RM 1 mill at least.

And the thing is, you guys really prove my point from my first post. And actually I wrote what I wrote initially to indicate that if you guys really want to help others you would probably have introduce tax savings plan more. But why are those type of plans hardly suggested from you guys? You see, I did not come and just make a request and bash you guys up for the fun of it but just an observation that you guys never seem to really want to help others by not recommending plans to actually help others but are always interested in exploiting others and this thread is pure evidence.

Sorry guy3288. I really want to stop one. but even you also would have replied if you were in my shoes.

I plan to surrender if the bonus is lower than EPF, and put to my parent EPF account.

If I surrender is it I get the surrender value plus the bonus value what I get ?
*
When putting the funds into your parents EPF, if the intention is to return the money to them then that’s ok.

If the intention is to generate a higher return for yourself do take note that once the money is in their account, legally the money is theirs so do ensure proper nomination is done for their EPF account.

QUOTE(JIUHWEI @ Jul 10 2023, 11:35 PM)
Hi bro,
You see the "Net Surrender Value" there?
That's your answer.

Beyond that, I can't help you.
Because I don't know you.
I don't know your financial situation, I don't know what your expectations are, I don't know the purpose this policy was put in place to achieve in the very beginning.

Until we conduct a thorough interview, this policy is just a policy loh.
You may read through the policy contract to understand the policy and how it works.
Is it relevant or not... You be the judge after you read through, because you would know yourself best.
*
QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 11 2023, 12:31 AM)
Actually dun even need to pay the premium. Just wait for them to give you that bonus and surrender immediately.

Ps. See this is what I mean by the "help" you expect from an agent. And this is after the exchanges that we had. But I have to pay for his advice huh.
*
QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 11 2023, 04:13 AM)
Actually this was what the customer representative advised me when I was thinking of cancelling my plan. But I decided not to because of income tax reasons.

And my bonus was paid before I paid my premium. You dun even know your stuff.

Your "friends" over here ain't that smart too because they would have probably asked you to zip it because you are making them look very bad. Or maybe they are the same level as you.

I feel sorry for you. You are supposed to give ppl the impression that you are helping them. But you cannot even do that

Ever considered some other profession?

Oh btw, why would you pay premium if you are not going to continue with your current plan? So you pay premium for the next year and then immediately surrender. So your insurance is no longer valid. That's pretty stupid dun you think?
*
To be fair, JIUHWHEI provided a solid response on the matter.

I'm pretty sure what you wanted from us is very different from the question this individual is asking.

Sure. As if I trust anything you say.

And funny, even after so much discussion, still never put into consideration tax considerations.

How can anyone trust your financial advice?

And obviously he is putting in his parents epf to max out his money lah. Why you so "straight" one. Cannot bend is it.

And if say something happens to his parents, his sibling is obviously not going to dispute over the money he put in right?

But maybe yours would.

Reading other comments, isn't the maturity value ultimately equal to the surrender value. Or I am wrong here.

Never know your relationship with your parents is like this
But then you probably lost your soul a long time ago.

Of course, for my case I expect my parents to return to me what is rightfully mine. But if that also they want to take. Then I give loh. But if your parents also you cannot trust then who can you trust?

Maybe you are the type who will ask your parents to sign a contract after you ask them to help you put money into a FD for elderly because you are scared they will not return the money to you. Not saying there should not be written because ppl can forget due to old age or if you have siblings and something happen to your parents at least you can tell your sibling this is what you gave to your parents to care for you.

Like I said everything extra you write only makes you look bad that's all.

My man, don’t la like this.

You want to make fun of us for entertainment I also don’t mind but don’t la go and involve parents/kids/partner and all..

Take it down a notch.

I’m sure deep down you know what JiuHwei has shared is a legit response.

Anyways if you don’t, let me give you a scenario on potential risk.

Crookless is a married man with wife and 2 kids.

Crookless got a father that’s in his 70s. Mother left the material world.

Crookless wants to put his additional money in his father EPF account to leverage on the EPF returns. Unfortunately for Crookless he never asked his father about the nomination arrangements. Not knowing that the father EPF nomination nominated the father’s hot young thing to receive 100% of the account value.

Father suddenly died from a heart attack because of rigorous physical activities. EPF pays out following the father’s nomination to the hot young thing.

Question is now, what happens to Crookless funds that he deposited in the fathers EPF account?

Sure Crookless can get the hot young thing to give Crookless back his funds, but she got no relationship with Crookless, why even entertain him?

Anyways just an example, you can replace hot young thing with siblings or friends. Same result.

Prevention always better than cure mah.

If you read my post, I gave the forummer a different point for consideration seeing other contributors and yourself have already address the main question.

Additional info: The father can change the nomination anytime but at least now the forummer is aware of the risks.

You obviously never read my post carefully. But why bother at this point.

Like I said. Maybe you have siblings that would probably take even the portion that rightfully belongs to you. Fortunately, at least my siblings are not this low.

Nah. You know and I know what are the true intentions at this point.

Based on what you have written so far, you would probably whack someone at his head if that means you will be a billion dollars richer and there is assurance that there will be no charges against you.

Not saying the parents should not change the nomination btw. But most ppl are not so calculative to be honest. I will definitely not put a knife towards my parents to change the nomination.

Even though I will not be surprised for you to use the last statement against me.

All you are doing right now is "damage reduction"
*
🤔 what kind of damage reduction are you talking about?

I’m just highlighting the potential risk that the forummer might want to be aware of.

So? What’s the problem?

This is the minimum premium for RM50k Life/TPD/CI which is RM100/month. You may also refer to the COI for Basic (Life/TPD) and Unit Deducting Rider (IL CIBR) in the table below.

user posted image

I checked the quote for Great Critical Care Direct, it would be RM11/month.

Great Critical Care Direct looks like a pretty good deal if you ask me.

As to why the COI for Great Critical Care Direct is much higher, it could be due to the monthly expenses for mortality, administration, and other costs incurred by the Insurance Company on Great Critical Care Direct differs/projected to differ from IL CIBR.

I'll open the stage to other learned thread contributors to contribute.

You are welcome to Pm. I am not an agent hence I am unable to sell you anything.

People here said aia med regular have been discontinued and replaced with medi flex. Not sure how true is that.

For me, I just take the rm200 plan. No need so expensive cause I don't want to give insurance company so much money and I feel RM1.375M of coverage is more than enough for me. tongue.gif

Ya, I am looking for the deductible amount because I have company insurance.

According to agent: in future if want to increase deductible amount is more easier than decreasing the amount , Insurance company will do a review if you request for reducing amount because they will bear more medical charges.
*
When choosing the deductible option, check to see if the product has a retirement option.

Check with your agent on the claim process and you'll want to consider your own cash position when determining the deductible amount.

Company medical covers RM30k
Medical bill RM100k
Deductible RM20k

In this scenario you'll be better off using your own medical card first however by doing so you will need to shoulder the deductible of RM20k. Once the dust is settled, you may then claim the RM20k against your company medical insurance. This is assuming your company and personal insurance provider are different. But as far as I know, companies do occasionally change insurers so it's still on you to mitigate this potential risk.

So long you practice good financial habits such as having an emergency fund, you should be able to fully enjoy the deductible benefits.

Jiansheng

Hi all Sifu, I got some doubt on my Prudential Life insurance policy. my insurance LIFE / TPD: 500,000 & Critical Illness: 500,000, if I’m being diagnosed cancer and unable to work, insurance can claim the 500,000?, and let’s say I passed away after the cancer, my family member can’t claim anymore from this insurance policy?
*
You may read your policy to find out which critical illness rider you have then refer to the list below:

Type of Critical Illness riders in Prudential
1) Total Multi Crisis Care - Does not reduce Life/TPD
2) Crisis Care - Does not reduce Life/TPD
3) Early Crisis Care - Does not reduce Life/TPD
4) Crisis Guard - Reduces Life/TPD
