Investment link premium none guarantee. By luck

Traditional plan premium guarantee. GE & AIA still got. Other ...many withdrawn.
For GE traditional with guarantee cash value as well.

While I agree that most of the recommended sum insured is commercially driven, I still think PA coverage is necessary as accident might happen unexpectedly. Just need to know how much to cover for sufficiently without being over insured
*
All concept applied.
Just suite or not when kisah benar happened.

One of my wife relative ask for help to claim her uncle insurance after illness death.
We were shock by the policies in hand .... big sum assured of multiple PA.

But none of it claimable because death due to illness.

Act right get right always important than comparing looking around.

Yes, you can get PA protection with small premium. Normal life plan still the better choice if budget okay.

Hi all sifu, I had made claims with kidney stone removal, and now i would like to upgrade my policy, my agent said that if i upgrade my policy, the new policy will consider the kidney stone claim as a pre exsiting illness so it wont be covered eventhough the kidney stone is cleared.

He suggested that i should keep my existing policy and get an additonal policy if my existing one is not enough.

Can any sifu please advise whether this it true?
*
I'll advice my client to keep exiting policy for 2 years.
No matter they upgrade from exiting company or taking new company.

My main concern not because of kidney stone removal. Is because waiting period.
30 days 60 days 120 days & 2 years uncontestable period.

I want to protect my client ensure he been cover.

If client refuse after explain in detail... senang je pls apply from other and take your own risk.
I can enjoy coffee without worry.

You're a shit agent though. No agent worth his salt will make this recommendation. Especially if you're upgrading within the same policy (from older medical card rider to a newer medical card rider) - there is a provision that those conditions subject to waiting period / uncontestable period can still be claimed under the older medical card limits and T&C.
*
You may read / knowing many terms. But you are not the one seeing or suffering those facing challenge to get GL approve. Especially after conditional GL.
Are you the underwriter that can instantly approve roll back to old medical card during emergency?
If yes ah, operate your brand of insurance company, promise all this nice T&C many will support you.

Giving choice to my own client follow my advice or follow their own will is shit you see??? okay is your rights blush.gif

Any thoughts on Generali's SmartCare Optimum Plus?

Looking at plan2 with 1.5mil annum limit + 350 R&B

The only major drawbacks I have compared among most so far are the pre-hospital only 60days and post-hospital only 90 days...

But their T&C's / Panels vs Price seems one of the best after comparing between most standalones.. Not sure how their claims stringency would be though..
*
We don't judge which is the best.
We do comparison with basic facts info, which is you. And plans choose to compare.

No medical plan in hand? Then grab it fast if fit your budget. Ordinary people looking for standalone usually just 1 objective which is as cheap as possible.

I will advice investment link if is for long term planning and affordable.
Standalone for short term & low budget plan.

Do declare your medical history / checkup history during application. Good luck ya.

hi sifus here,

any medical insurance with deductible to recommend for kid age 1+?
because of tight budget, those bundles plan easily 2000-3000/year, which i am looking for budget friendly deductibles plan like 10,000 ~ 20,000 deductible

if my understanding is correct, since my kid have tie with company medical insurance thats covers up to 20,000, thus, i can get a medical deductible plan to cover anything after 20,001 right?
eventually, if i no longer work, i guess to borrow 20,000 is still possible sweat.gif, so i feel at minimal a deductible medical plan is sufficient for young kid

just want to focus on medical insurance first for my kid

thanks in advance

Budget concern can consider this
https://www.greateasternlife.com/content/da...2-brochure1.pdf

Covering RM100K - RM1.5 million yearly.

The exact figures are in the policy statements, as described above.
I'm just not sure if my understanding of the formal terms is correct.

When they sell you insurance, they'll use layman terms. But in the policy and statements, formal terms are used.
End up not sure which is what.
Original agent left the industry. New agent doesn't reply me

Call in to customer service, let them verify you.

Is this good?
going to add CI to my wife healcard.
normally CI expensive? Saving?
what need to concern when buying CI so no buy tooo much or tooo less
*
This plan covering top 5 CI in GE claim record.
Covering Life without TPD.
With guarantee cash according policy years.
Guarantee maturity when reach age80.

Claim if major surgery with continues 21 days of admission
or ICU 7 days continues (Including CCU)

Currently whole life 50% premium discount. Offer last day tomorrow if no extension.

------

Is up to your wife status. What kind of protection shortfalls. And your preference of spending style.
This GCCR is dedicated plan.

The special part of this plan is admission 21 & 7 days. A few early claims due to this clause.
If you like to have something guarantee in between or full refund/ more at the end, good options as well.

Anyhow, I still recommend to have full CI plan. Combine with this lagi best.

Not so sure. as age 44 already. early cannot buy medical card, after all check up, successsfully buy medical. monthly around 4xx.
As there no CI, only medical card, need add CI.
but dont want out of budget.
maybe +200 per month. Is it enough?
*
Congrats for successful medical plan application.
Since you got budget in plan then just follow the figure get some quotations & compare.
A few type of options
- Term life / CI . Pay & burn just like car insurance / normal PA. Cheaper but no cash value & easy terminate if payment problem.
- Investment link. As usual common choice nowadays. Small spending against higher return for risk protection. with cash value.
- Traditional plan. Lower protection compare with other type. Good point with guarantee premium. Some with guarantee cash & maturity as well.

Any good recommendation for standalone medical insurance that good for kids. Especially buy online ?

It seem kaotim medical card does not cover accidental injury that require admissions.

One more how about medical card for foreign spouse ?
*
Normal PA buy online okay lah.

For medical plan still better to meet with experience agent.
Main reason to fact find life assured condition & make sure compliance answering all the questionnaire.
Agent will guide & try to remind you past medical history / events, avoiding none discourse clause. This part important when come to claim.

For standalone kids usually less than RM1000 / year many options.

Foreign spouse with married cert usually can apply no issue.
Or work permit in Malaysia also can.

QUOTE(limaa210 @ Nov 7 2024, 02:36 PM)
Hello, I have some questions for NEWBORN baby insurance (just basic stuff medical..)
I know that it is similar to adult insurance plan.

But, according to two agents I talked to, they said that investment linked is compulsory regardless of plans from all malaysian insurance companies (allianz, aia,ge etc.) ?? In addition to that, life insurance portion is also compulsory? As in these two components can't have value of ZERO and need to have those two portions set to minimum amount..

Are the statements above true? Because, lots of people have been saying get baby/kids insurance which is medical card only without life or Investment linked. But after talking various agents, they said no.. so abit confuse.

Thank you for your help in advance. Cheers.
*
If budget constrain then go for standalone. Don't wait.

Anyhow I recommend consider ILP. If affordable for 200+/- monthly
Reason, more benefits. Can add in payor waiver riders.
Can have hospital income (pocket money), not to say wanted to "earn" but if children admitted to hospital for 5 working days, at least something to cover. Unless you are own business boss no need go office.

My concern to standalone ... no cash value, if payment problem due to bank / credit card .. potential to lapse is high.
Reinstate may need waiting period. This happened to my mom in law 10 years ago. And very unlucky her condition not fit to purchase new. GG.

The only good point for standalone is cheap.
Other advantage got to look at ILP.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Nov 7 2024, 07:10 PM)
A good honest agent will tell you that ILP will have no cash value or negative cash value at the end of the insurance. Having cash value is a marketing trick as people don't like to pay and get nothing back.

Unless you are a bad paymaster then yes you need "premium holidays".

All extra rider cost money. No free lunch in insurance. You pay more for rider to earn money Vs amount of money paid from the insurance for not working.

Kindly don't misled people.
*
Yes you are right no free lunch. Already mentioned want cheap just go for standalone.

This also make sense pointing that cheap premium standalone come with basic stuff.
Yes may be some of the additional features you may not need, but common scenario we seen "Why don't you tell me, remind me one more time"

I'm just quick reply a question. Is transparent everyone can read, add on info they wanted to.
Just because my answer doesn't fit your view then label as mislead people?

As mentioned, can consider if affordable. His/Her agent shd explained with official quotation face to face.
Want the feature, pay for it.

Don't always scare readers ILP macam bad marketing trick lah doh.gif
As you mention "premium holiday" may happened, at least got time & buffer, policy still inforce.

if keep on argue paying more to rider letting company earn more ...
then same why pay more for bigger house, better car? Want shelter & 4 moving wheels only ma biggrin.gif

I don't remember you telling that there is additional cost to all that. Lots of people don't know that there is no free lunch and assume it's build into the insurance. I was one of them. Until one of the agent pointed out to me. She told me everything you add got cost. So add only what you want. Lots of things are nice to have but do you really need them. The more you add, the higher your premium will go or your sustainability decrease.

Majority of people just want simple medical insurance. They don't want all the add ons. Yes there are some people who want all the add on. Yes there are some people are tricked into selecting all the additional add ons.

That's why I still drive a viva. Sorry. No mers or BMW for me. My phone also 5 years old phone.

I got nothing to sell and nothing to gain.
*
haiyowei flex.gif as mentioned it was a brief info answering to his/her question lah. no doing a full quotation presentation.

ok you read again that post my 1st line is :
If budget constrain then go for standalone. Don't wait.

then 2nd line:
Anyhow I recommend consider ILP. If affordable for 200+/- monthly

Kinda showing 2 plans are different type cost level right? hmm.gif
ok lah base on your writing pattern sure not fulfil your standard. My bad, sorry ah sweat.gif

And yes your are right, agree to you some people want basic stuff. But not all want basic because they want, because they don't know other's advantage to compare. Macam go to car showroom la, same model different spec to choose. Choose from the balance of needs & affordability after study.

Lastly, I respect your choice & view to choose the basic rider. So, can we end here? blush.gif

Halo friend

is hard to comment without knowing your financial background.
usually plan base on 2 main factors. 1 your coverage need. 2 your budget.

basically age28 I'll recommend multi million medical plan while still in good shape (health report)
minimum RM500K life if possible. No because to give money after die, but aim to protect against TPD at young age.
Critical illness RM200K +/-
at the end still depends on individual needs & affordability to do the adjustment.

One thing i need to highlight. You may consider every input by users here.
Everyone can comment base on their own preference & view. But anyone here will serve you or take responsibility by kind or legally?

Make sure your agent present you with official quotation.
Ask about sustainability
Ask about fund chosen
Ask why agent propose you 800K Life 150K CI.
With similar amount can get different combination?
Ask yourself the premium within your budget?

Don't rush but don't over thinking drag too long.
14 days free look period apply after policy inforce.
Good luck ya smile.gif

Hi Sifus, need your help/opinion regarding taking a new medical card .
From year 2019 until year 2023 I have a medical card from MCIS Life. On this year , i failed to pay for the medical insurance on time , because i was overlooked the date and my agent also failed to remind me on time . Then my agent advice me take new medical card for year 2025 . If i take new medical card from the same insurance provider company as previously,  have any advantange and disadvantange on that. Im also consider to get standalone medical card from other company.

My previous policy basic and Premuium term stated that 71 years .

My new proposal policy basic and premium term stated that 66 years .

What meant by sum assured ?
How to know our medical policy are standalone or ILP ? My previous policy number starter with TL. I also notice my relative policy started with MHC . What is the different on the TL and MHC ?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
if you sign plan by age 29, then 71 years term to reach age99/100
if you sign plan by age 34, then 66 years term to reach age99/100

assuming the policy term is 99/100 years old age.

By age 34, you can get better premium or benefits with the amount you show. I'm comparing standalone.
ILP shd be around 250 - 350 depending riders / sustainability / smoker or not / work.
Short sustain can get lower premium, you decide for the pros & cons.

The RM150.00 shd be the Plan150 - Annual RM850K
refer to website click brochure take a look. you may double check with agent is this the plan proposed
