he currently have stable job and plan to help his father now with some budget. Thanks again.

hi Seybold, yes, can apply. upon application submission, can also submit the check up/scan report. if everything is good, definitely no problem approving the medical card. wink.gif

Has any agent here registered a client with "sleep apnea" before? Has it caused problems when getting insured? I have snoring problem but scared to do sleep study and find out the result because may affect my future insurance applications.

hi Gaza, are you diagnosed with sleep apnea by doctor or you "self-diagnosed" without going through any check up?

sorry to hear your case. what you can do now is get proper clarification from MCIS directly from HQ customer service. it is much better if you can ask your mum's agent to go with you. after reading your posts, because it's like bits and pieces here and there and it's not easy to get the full picture of your mum's policy situation.

as of now, make sure your mum is fully recovered, don't stress so much because of this policy first since it's lapse. when everything is better, then only go seek clarification. if need any 3rd party help to go with you to MCIS HQ, you can personally PM few of the agents here to get help see anyone can help out or not. wink.gif

Self diagnose. Just worried if i do a proper test the doctor will recommend CPAP machine or surgery which may cause problems with future insurance?

self diagnose is very subjective then. because we are not medical practitioners. in this case you can either declare as "self suspected sleep apnea" or don't declare depends on how the agent advise and how agent is going to handle your case. like for example, my smart watch detected i have mild sleep apnea but at the same time smart watch cannot be officially treated as official medical device. Plus, I have no sleeping issue though. For my own case like that, I won't declare. so it is really how you discuss and cooperate with agent.
