Hi All sifus,

Im using cc6 185/60 15R currently., the sidewall shown cracks recently i need to change my tyre soon.

Im seeing alot people mention xm2+ or PS series here in the tyre topics is there any other options.

I tried to search for ps series but i think dont have 185/60 15r size. My car is on original version rim.

My concern,

Safety, comfort, quietness.

to answer the question will it fit yes it will fit your rim.

https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=...60r15-195-55r15
1.2% diff should use 195-55-15. this is common size.
small diff at (80.47 km/h) u are actually going (79.47 km/h) 0 accurate enough lah.

if u use 185 55 15 this one produce 3.2% difference which not recommended (speedo say 80kmh u are actually slow at 78)
https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=...60r15-185-55r15

For 195/55R15

(1) u can use PS3, it is damn good tyre for wet condition RM218.00 in ten hours sale or RM225 nominal https://www.lazada.com.my/products/michelin...s265765963.html - I run this myself in 185-55-15 and have zero complain. this tyre u can use until 0% (reach TWI) also grip still OK, since no significant loss in grip from new to 0% just use this if can afford. Wet grip confident. Dry grip also cun. See-used until legal limit 0% left rclxm9.gif https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=97178276

(2) Yokohama ES32 RM170-175 195/55R15 https://www.lazada.com.my/products/yokohama...3329834720.html
I ran Cdrive before for wider size on camry, OK to use but once worn out 20% remaining it was skittish in the rain. Other than that, from 100-20% it was good, quiet.

good budget buddy recommend to use either
(3) GY assurance at RM146-150 https://www.lazada.com.my/products/19555r15...-s17029333.html
this is one of the better GY tyres, no complains for normal use

(4) budget buddy toyo NE03 also good RM156.00 https://www.lazada.com.my/products/toyo-nan...1850460240.html

CC6, XM2 all same class as the GY assurance but u paying a lot of money for the name only.
So either take GY assurance/Toyo NE03 (tek meng sunway) OR PS3, since it is not terribly expensive (unlike at larger sizes) over the normal tyre.

It will fit. No issues. I have seen plenty of Vios with stock wheels using 195/55R15.

I beg to differ that Michelinโ€™s extra premium is for name sake only. The XM2 or XM2+(Much improved) have easily better treadwear than CC6 or GY assurance. I have did over 100k km with the Xm2 but have change it due to 5years aging, still easily another 20k to be go before reaching the TWI. The CC6 and GY assurance running 50k mileage already reach TWI. So the value proposition from this Michelin entry series tyre comes from its longevity and lasting performance.

I did 115K km with about 2ish mm tread left with XM2 on Avanza front axle .
Current set of rear XM2 tyres has done 100K km with about 2.5 mm tread life balance .
Michelin has 6 year warranty on its tyres .
I believe 10 year life post production is kind of standard ...

Another bro testimonial to back up my claim. Yeah Iโ€™m aware of the warranty but for me safety is something I will never compromise. At 100k mileage and 5 years of use, can feel the rubber hardening. After all, itโ€™s already well worth in my opinion.

yes... xm2 is best of entry level budget tyre...

for small sizes it's rm10-20 more...so worth getting

for bigger sizes...it's rm50-60 more.... not so worth getting, because at this price it's up against 1 to 2 level up, mid performance tyres from competition...

For common size 15" even between PS3 and XM2 difference is about 20 bucks per pc
might as well take PS3 for excellent wet handling as MY weather is one of the wettest.. our thunderstorm can equal a "flood" in Japan
For added peace of mind and still have plenty of wet traction reserve for when you need it (eg. slowpoke idiota simply cut in front of you and never speed up, never signal)

ya...but some people here just want the extra km at lowest cost...

xm2 isn't all that bad in the wet so imho ok lah... just reminding people don't simply assume it's the best or best value across all sizes

Absolutely agree with this! XM2+ is only worth it for sizes where PS3 doesn't. Even do, might as well just get cheaper ones like Goodyear touring models.

If it's XM2+ vs UC6, I'll go for UC6.
