Wanna ask, is it possible for P990i to have a standby screen showing ToDo items, Calendar's event, new message,... something like Windows Mobile standby screen.

I notice there's a problem synchronising P990i notes with Outlook notes. All notes in phone can be copy to Outlook but if there's new note ot modification of notes in outlook, it wont synchro with the phone's notes.

anyone got solution for this? or should i change to other pc notes software to change it? or some setting problem?

Me planning to use note to write and plan stuff. but this bug has stop me from using it completely, not until i can solve this. Prefer to write with full big monitor screen whenever possible, my P990i is just for portable purposes.

Can someone enlighten me about features in M600: does it really have GPS capability, if so, what software do I need to get/buy? Also, is the P1i not an M600 slapped with a camera simply?

It hard to find the original pouch lor.
The magnetic type actually u can modify it,
coz over the pouch got 2 magnet, that why it effect the screen..
U just take out 1 of the magnet, and replace it by 1sen. ok le.
so far so good, but not tight as last time lor.(coz b4 that using 2 magnet ma)


u try reinstall the software see ok or not?
b4 u got backup it?
or u choose for advanced backup.. so u can select which u want to backup. =)
try restart the phone then plug in and see. =)
yr USB or cradle got problem mar?

feel like i bought my p990 at da wrong time la..
i oledi used my p990 for a month now..
hang once...a bit slow in opening applications...
other than tat its a great phone at tis price..
dono wat phone to chg to cos i felt oni w960 is better than p990..
p1 is less user friendly imo..

i have had that problem before...its nothing to do with the MSPD, its the RAM..i think

It's a known prob on P990i - in fact the most hate "feature" from P990i. Usually you'll face this more freq. if the page has a lot of graphics.

It's due to P990i equipped with ONLY 64MB *RAM*, the amount of free RAM after the phone booted up is around 15MB++. Just FYI, in P910i, the amount of free RAM is abt 22MB....

P990i is using UIQ-3.0 as Operating System, where it need 2-3x more RAM to run a similar program that's available in previous ver of UIQ-2.x; PLUS P990i has memory leak problem (i.e. an application is closed, but not all RAM used by it are released back to the pool), and it's not fixed til now.

Not enough RAM + leaking, go figure out.
