QUOTE(Bassix @ Dec 2 2007, 12:49 AM)
Every component on the bass or any instrument for the matter builds part of the tone. Change one thing and you get a different sound characteristic. PUs are oni one example. I changed my bridge on my bass once and now i have a different sound as well because the resonance in the strings are different.

I don't think you'd get better sound (unless your current PUs are really crap), just different sound
*
if comparing stock pups on an entry level bass
im certain tat a bassline or barts can pawn it down
unless the bass oredi cost like a few k
than as bassix say smile.gif diff sound characteristix

i stil like the bright strings
easier to cut thru the muddy mix haha
about the fast fret
do u guys apply it den wipe it wit the cloth
den kept it...
or leave the oil on strings, dont wipe it and store it?

does the soaking of the left over oil makes the strings to loose their brilliance faster
