QUOTE(ReoAyanami @ Jan 18 2021, 01:53 PM) Already said in their statement that their order closed at 7:30 but they received a ton of order at 7:20. They will probable changeĀ their last order time after this. QUOTE we were absolutely blind sighted by the amount of orders that came in past 730pm. Their statement said still have orders coming in past 7.30pm la. They caused their own problem. MCO 1.0 I've seen certain Mcd closed at 6.30pm (Grab's cutoff at 7pm). Drove over and saw some crazy long line there. Kinda obvious MBL didn't impose a cut-off when they were swamped with orders. This post has been edited by knumskul: Jan 18 2021, 02:03 PM

QUOTE(ReoAyanami @ Jan 18 2021, 02:03 PM) Read again. The orders were made before 7:30pm but was backlogged at their partner side until after 7:30pm. I'm quoting directly from the FB post from TS.

QUOTE(ReoAyanami @ Jan 18 2021, 02:05 PM) Why didn't you quote the ENTIRE sentence then? Sigh. Delivery partner backlog orders (that has probably been cooked), but they continue cooking past 7.30pm instead of cancel those orders? If really delivery partners order backlog until MBL cannot see it in system, then I agree with their apology. Unsure about Panda but Grab's cutoff is 7.20pm. How did orders go through past 7.30pm? QUOTE(ReoAyanami @ Jan 18 2021, 02:16 PM) The user made the order before the cutoff time but MBL only received them after the cutoff time. There was a delay. MBL also has own ordering system via their website. How to explain if influx of orders at 7.29pm from all 3 channels? They should cancel what they can't cope but MBL chose to keep cooking until 9pm until cops showed up. Orders > SOP?

QUOTE(ReoAyanami @ Jan 18 2021, 02:35 PM) Enough with your conspiracy theories la. They decided to keep cooking because they know that people cannot order again as all delivery has already closed and people would not be able to get their dinner. Even despite their good intentions, they had to cancel a bunch of orders anyway. Lol ok. Mismanagement you label as conspiracy theory. So instead of them cancelling orders at 8pm and apologising, they chose to break SOP, kantoi, then apologise. And you support this. This isn't the way to get government to extend opening hours to 10pm. Just enforces govt thinking of rakyat keep breaking SOP. Restaurant clearly at fault, no matter backlog or not. My order kena cancelled, I suck it up and eat maggi at home because its my own fault for not ordering earlier.

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Jan 18 2021, 05:06 PM) i don't understand why people want to drive thru....even until today for everything...KFC, MCD, starbucks for me it's wasting petrol and time For me its otw home from office. And MCO they don't allow walk-in, at least the ones near my office. Even from home its cheaper and faster for me to drive thru than order via Grab/Panda. 5km x2 straight road > RM5 fee + 30% markup. For other foods, I bring my containers to reduce plastic tapao bags usage.
