Really worried it will be a borefest if ole choose to play 3 CB bailly-maguire-lindelof and pair it with fred-mctominay. Think counter attack is the best chance we have at scoring but with our strikers not on form we will be looking at bruno. Sadly, teams already know to man mark bruno kao kao to eliminate his threat. I dont see us winning Liverpool tbh but who knows.

For me, our best chance of winning the league is securing draws over top teams and win the rest of the small teams then hoping Liverpool will go on a bad run of form

McT is more of a box to box midfielder, who is strong going forward. He played as a center forward in his youth days, before the coach moved him to center midfield.
He is disciplined, which is why he is being used at CDM because he's not one to bomb forward thinking he knows better. But he is not a CDM, that is why he doesn't look good alongside Fred when he is instructed to sit. First half, like many times this season, his instructions were to sit and never venture forward. He never once ventured beyond Bruno's midfield position.

He looks better when he is given the freedom to venture forward. The last game I can remember him doing so was at Leeds, which caught me by surprised. Must've caught Leeds by surprise too with those two quick goals. You can see the difference in that game, he kept venturing forward and overlapping Bruno as the advanced midfielder. It is easy to see if McT is instructed to sit, see if he ever overlaps the advanced midfielder's position. If he never does, he's been told to sit.

He can do the job but it makes him look like half the player he is, because he does not display his strength. It is like if Frank Lampard during his playing days was told to sit in deep midfield and never make forward runs. He can do it, but he's mediocre there and takes away his strength.

Ole at times needs a double pivot for defensive strength. That's not a bad thing. That's just tactics.
Fred is one spot. The other natural fit is Matic, but at his age there is no energy. Ole doesn't trust Pogba in the double pivot and we can see why. So McT plays the role.

In his natural position, McT is closer to Pogba. Minus the creative passing range, but much more disciplined.

I dont know what is the hype on Rashford.
I know some (if not most) will disagree with me, I really feel he is very selfish on the pitch.
I dont want to comment his off the pitch personality.
