That's why 433 is important to help screen back 4. Defensive midfielder can help our slow CB. Or maybe play 442 like atletico madrid

We all know lindelof is poor in the air, jose said so. And why the heck our 2 poor jumping full backs mark Everton CB, keane who is good on headers that assisted DCL.

Right wing is a problem for years. Will we get sancho?

Oh well, same old man utd
*
If Amad Diallo doing well, United won't go for Sancho.

It is the best for United to get new quick CB, Solid CDM, RB and CM (replacing Pogba, Grealish is good replacement)

But I do bet the stingy owner won't buy those positions of all maybe 1-2 positions if we are lucky

Lol, diallo only 18 and haven't played professional football for 90mins. He's doing well with u23's I know.

Example: bailly(1yr)and lindelof(2yrs) of professional football before joining us. Both not consistent good enough. Look at city, man. Those defenders win you titles

With this pandemic, income has fell. Can we even afford to buy, that's the thing. We sold/released/loan some players helped to reduce wages which is nice
*
Do you think the owner backed Ole enough?

Nothing is impossible, Jones, Rojo owner gave 5 years contract is something insane the owner did.

I'm not comparing Diallo - Ronaldo but Ronaldo came to the scene for United when he was 18 years and with pricey price of Sancho I don't expect the owner will gonna buy.

That is why so much hype about Diallo with I felt exaggerate so that the fans won't demand Sancho and the money can use for other vital position ie CB and CDM

Fork out 100million is not what the owner gonna do, we need stop dreaming and step to the reality

Tuanzebe foul not in dangerous position.. I would blame more the pass forward by fred. With min left we should really just hold the ball. Before tht after cavani fouled also we push ball forward. Before tht also wan bissaka pass forward to attack. All happen on stoppage time!!
*
Yes true

For the 85 minutes what our 80million CB do? concede 2 goals and 1 mistake from Tuanzebe which he is in the low confidence level we should not harsh on him

Remember Maguire at the Greece incident he did so many silly mistakes but the fans and manager back him which is good

But why can't we do the same at Tuanzebe?

cause tuanzebe sudah 3 or 4 games mistake and cost us points. if yesterday is his first mistake, i no complain. kapitan i think ppl complain until bored d lol. hope ole will field baily + maguire. since 80m man cannot drop, so can only drop lindeloft.

actually i like lindeloft ball playing, but heck, if this combo keep concede, better put jones maguire.

if no find tuanzebe as scapegoat, then ddg is the main culprit actually. silly mistake and let everton got back into game.
*
As I said before the luck for Tuanzebe is terrible the mistakes from him cost the points

While Maguire and Lindelof made more than 20 mistakes(United concede 30 goals) fans rarely remember just because United won and get 3 points.

If United attacking side does not perform for sure Maguire/Lindelof mistakes become the issue

I'm not trying to defend Tuanzebe but the mistakes from him are a collective mistake

What Maguire do? He is the captain of United when Everton take a set-piece what he did???

Stay way back let Shaw get the 1st header instead of him as captain and his capability on the high ball he should go for the 1st header

City to be champions seems imminent. Regardless of the performance United cant see able to stop City unless injury crisis really hit hard to City

Tuanzabe at fault!!!

As we see here many blame Tuanzebe for Everton match said nasty words including racist words(twitter)

But many fail to realise the main problem for United is Maguire and Lindelof

Our Captain praising himself saying that his header is great but hit the goal post. That is not relevant at all.

MAGUIRE FAILED AS CAPTAIN when can't even pinpoint his mistake that cost us the points.

Yes many here still blame TUANZEBE and now his morale hit the floor, who gonna be our back up defender? Lindelof and Maguire again???

Lol only now G. Neville realises the partnership between Maguire n Lindelof is not working?

This many able to see way back on since 2020, just because Maguire is English they won't criticise him.

And still, Garry blames De Gea to hid the fact Maguire is the main problem. Maguire is slow, not dare to challenge the first high ball and command Lindelof to take the ball while he stays at the back watching the ball

Many mainstream media divert the main issue of Man Utd by blaming De Gea. He saves United so many times, in fact, in the last game vs WBA without De Gea United won't get any point at all

Ole need to give some rest to Bruno, Shaw, Wan Bissaka, Rashford

It is time for Greenwood, Telles, William, Van Der Beek and Diallo to shine

QUOTE(KennRicky @ Mar 5 2021, 05:22 AM)
It is really bored to see someone defend OGS, by saying board not supporting him by buying the player he wants.

Damn, every mother fxxking player he wants, is the most expensive one. Haaland, Sancho, Upamecano, Grealish. You think we are bank? And even that, we still spent 80M on turtle captain, 50M on AWB, and 60M on Bruno. Except Bruno, anyone worth the price?

And tbh, we all know that if not bcuz of Bruno, we will be struggling in relegation. It is all bcuz OGS is clueless in tactical plan.

Tbh, for those who defend OGS, deep in their heart, they know they don't even support OGS, but just don't want to change manager anymore.

But it just not gonna work, OGS only know counter attack. No defence plan, no tiki-taka, no nothing in tactical part. He shud be Director of Football, not manager.

And he also having problem in developing player. Look at Greenwood, a goal scoring machine, but keep putting him on wing. He even dunno how to score anymore. VDB, a decent tiki-taka player, but the whole team don't even play tiki-taka anymore. Everyone waiting Bruno through ball only.

In OGS mindset, everyone need to improve on everything to fit his counter attack plan and lousy defend plan. Damn, he should improve his tactical plan and fully utilize the strength of the player first, while asking player to improve. Die die play Rashford against bus-parking team, no Bruno no party, no more tiki-taka, keep asking wingback to cover center, keep using player that is not in form.
*
I'm quite disagree with you in term of spending

United sold Lukaku 70m and get rid off Sanchez with salary 560k weekly,Ashley Young,Rojo and Dalot . The nett spending for Ole was less than 100m

Compared with 2 previous managers they got more than 150 million expenditures. And need to remember United revenues is around 627 million

The Board enjoying so much money and yet give so little

Backing manager is not only what the money they spend but also what the players the manager really need.

Yes Sancho is really steep price but CB is essential. Just look the differences when Baily with half fit play with Mag/Lindelof against partnership Mag/Lindelof. United play more forward and LB/RB able to push more forward. Our CM able to play more forward when Baily in the squad

United deeply needed fast and quick CB,RB(covering Bissaka) and true CDM to improve overall performance.

YES Ole is far from perfect he reluctantly to rotate but play with the same players week in week out without give so much chances to others ie VDB, Tuanzebe and other players as well

Do you think with Pep able to sucess like he did on City without getting backing by the Board? Yes improved but not winning as liking City

revenue /= nett profits

dividend for board should be about 20-25m per annum

net spend since summer 2019 should be above 220 million.

glazers are cashing out, they will sell out if the right price comes along
*
My point is the revenue getting increase but the expenditure is getting lesser ever from Van Gaal era to the Mourinho era and now Ole

When the last time United bought proper CDM/CB/RW?

All those players we have/were are past prime (Matic/Schweinsteiger) and force them to play as CDM Mc Tom/Fred/Herrera/

RW? force Rashford/Greenwood plays at the right heck Mata force to play as a winger. Buy the potential James?

CB, renew contract Jones/Rojo? wasted

Those spending really not add up a value of the squad

Net spend is only for the books. It doesn't negate the amount actual spent by a manager. We needed a CB so got an 80 million pound one. How many more 80 or 100 million pound CBs do we need to cover 2 positions. If united needs to gamble on 4 or 5 100 million pound player at every position to find the "right" one, i guess we can forget about ever winning anything.

Not sure where the figure of 627 million came from but their gross earnings after deducting operational costs is only about 100 million before taxes. Maybe close to doubling this pre covid but still doesn't allow united to spend hundreds of millions on new players every season. Pretty sure lukaku's fees weren't paid in full upfront. Milan is now struggling to pay balance.

It's as though every player united bought so far have been bargain basement deals. Absolute nobodies. Never kicked a ball in their entire life and Ole and his coaches have miraculously taught them to string 2 passes in succession in a record breaking 3 year period they've been in charge.

Just maguire, awb, bruno and DJ are already 200 million in one season, so where does the board isn't spending come from?

VDB? ole doesn't even know how to use him. Probably why he doesn't play.

Pep? Not sure if anyone in this world would dare say ole can achieve what he has achieved when given the exact same players.

On a positive note, this morning feels oddly wonderful.
*
VDB is not Ole want that very clear how he treating VDB kinda sad

You can't just add by not subtracting United's sold players. That generate incomes for United

The figure 627million here https://www.thesundaily.my/sport/man-utd-po...llion-ID1401497

or here

https://www.business-standard.com/article/p...92400952_1.html

While Pep spending just for a defender is half billion

https://www.aa.com.tr/en/sports/football-ma...defense/1994147

By backing Glazer SPENDING SO MUCH for United is totally clueless

They enjoy the profit while United fans crying for them??? doh.gif

Are we talking about generating income for united or the amount of money a manager has spent?

You can see the official figures here.

https://ir.manutd.com/~/media/Files/M/Manut...c-form-20-f.pdf

Who is crying for the glazers, the point is united today and this applies to a lot of other football clubs as well, is a business. No one will go into a business if they can't generate a handsome return, especially at such high stakes. Why do you think the richest main in britain, who himself is a united fan, wouldn't want to buy over united. Read here -

https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/spo...lazers-17305733

Being a fan himself should make him the best owner, correct? Why should he worry about bad investments in players or generating income from his business? He should throw everything he has into the club, go bankrupt if he has to, to buy the players the manager wants, right?

Not sure why this is so hard to understand or are you just as clueless yourself? To be fair to the glazers, they have more or less dumped most of united's annual earnings into purchasing players. If united had owners like city's, where money can even come from our 1mbd, then sure, it's almost neverending and you don't have to care about earnings of profits. Also, if the solution is just by dumping money, why don't you see teams like Madrid or PSG winning every single trophy available? And Pep should be winning the league, league & FA cups every year since city has spent so much? Realistically, you could say even Pep couldn't get every single player he wanted.  doh.gif

City has shown they can adapt and recover under pep. We throw the same group of players into every game, sit back and hope for the best. If we win, then wow ole's a genius. If we lose against relegation fodder, then it's the glazers, woodward, the tea lady. Funny why no one has pinned the blame on matt judge when he's the one actually in charge of negotiations, both for new player contracts and renewals.

To add, if we're so "desperate" for someone on the wings, why not start diallo? He's a winger and has proven himself playing with the U23s. Can't even start him when playing relegation fodder? Need 100m pound player to play against them? Can't start against big teams but can't ease them in against weak opponents either. Then why buy potential?
*
From the beginning, United are in debt after Glazer bought United by loan. So you justify not to spend for next season because of the incompetent of Glazer/Kayu managing the money? Kayu is an account but failed to do his own job let alone transfer market

Van Gaal had spent 250million,
Mourinho spent 300million
while Ole is around 150million minus (Lukaku 70million, Sanchez 500k weekly salary, Ashley Young, Dalot)= Less than 100million

While the revenue increase 627million thou they spent so much still able to gain the revenue shows that United is in strong position and justify because covid so that the Glazer no need to spend is so convincing while other clubs able to do a better job than United eventhou they affected by covid
This kind of clueless and dumb fans like you is so easy to get twist by the owner

Dumping money when gave 500k weekly salary to Sanchez
Dumping money when extending the contract Jones, Rojo and Mata for 5 years tho they did not perform and injury prone
Dumping money when bought Fred for 50 million when Jose doesn't want the player

For the past 8 years United changing the manager from Moyes experienced in EPL failed to Van Gaal one of success manager in Europe failed to Mourinho one of the decorative managers in the world failed and now Ole the legend of United seems can't achieve the expectation

Those 4 managers all of them are incompetent? or the Kayu & Co who stay at the United more than 8 years managing the transfer is blameless?

Spending with right players it should be done for long time.

Ole wants Grealish but what Kayu gave VDB(thou I like the player)

The Owner didn't give the players that manager wanted

Haaland at that time was 3million Ole really want him what Kayu did nothing
Ole want Jude Bellingham what Kayu did nothing
Ole asking establish RW and CDM what Kayu did gave another potential player

nothing against Fred is working hard but if Fred is what you think the best criteria for United then we all doom. The level of United dropping and the expectation for fans drop to rock bottom

Comparing the quality of Fred what United got before like Roy Keane, Carrick, heck even Fletcher is miles away

QUOTE(maserati @ Mar 6 2021, 04:28 PM)
Wow so triggered? Need to resort to personal attacks and name calling when your argument is being called out?

United was in debt because a loan was taken out to service the purchase and the club's revenue is used to finance the loan. That's not the glazer's fault. I would've done the same if given the same opportunity. It's called business acumen. If this was an illegal transaction, feel free to report on them.

First you say the owners and board are incompetent in making/managing money, then you go on to prove united's revenue has improved.

Complain about united not spending money, then proceed to list out the hundreds of millions or 3/4 of a billion they've spent.

Not sure which other club is doing better during covid times but ok, if you say so.

Not sure where I said Fred is the best criteria for united?

Did I say LVG and Mou are incompetent? I've always maintained that they've at least brought trophies back to the club in the short periods of time they've managed.

As though name calling and insults are not enough, you have to make up what I said to justify your arguments?

And no, ole didn't "just" spend 150 million. It was 200 million in 19/20 alone for 4 players and another 70 million in 20/21 so far. Also, it seems like you've only subtracted the fees and salaries from players sold during ole's time but not during lvg or mou's time. Why? To make it seem like only ole is not backed? See the full list of transfers here, make sure you deduct the transfer fees and salaries saved from all the players let go during their tenures too.

https://www.transfermarkt.com/manchester-un...fers/verein/985
So ole didn't want vdb at all but still approved of his purchase, just to waste another 30 million from his already limited budget? Refuse to play him but still stopped him from going on loan? Yea, I can really see how much ole didn't want him. Maybe ole's dumb and clueless too. If I were the owners, I don't think I'd want this manager to waste any more of my money on transfers.

Also, instead of relying on income figures published by other sites, you can always refer to the club's official figures in the link i posted in my last reply.

Any tom dick or harry could've pointed out the "errors" of united from the last 8 years and yet people are dumping money into the club. Let me guess, these sponsors and fans who continue to buy the shirts must be extremely dumb and clueless as well. So yes, woodward has done a crazily fantastic job at securing massive sponsors in all the years united have been shit on the field. That's his job and he's done very well for united.

Many have corrected you already that it's not woodward or the owners who negotiate for players. I've told you it's matt judge. At least be objective and criticize woodward for not firing matt judge until now.

Dude, you might need to reconsider who's the one that's clueless and dumb?
You say this manager wants this player, that manager didn't want that player. Anything to back these claims? Journalists write all sorts of garbage to sell papers and views, doesn't mean they're verified information.

Haaland's agent was raiola and the club was trying to distance themselves from him, especially with the pogba fiasco ongoing.

Didn't know united had a history of buying only ready made players so not sure if buying potential is a no-no. Diallo is potential but Sancho is not? Didn't know Sancho was a multiple premier league and champion's league winner myself either.

Sancho and grealish are guaranteed successful buys whereas schweinsteiger is public knowledge he's crap? But bastian won the world cup in 2014, joined us in 2015. Didn't know a world cup winner was destined to fail the following year. Maybe that's why pogba is so shit after winning the world cup too. This is really difficult. Proven winners are doomed to fail but player's who've not won much or anything at all and are playing for smaller teams will provide guaranteed success?

If it was so easy and straightforward to name the players that can come in and immediately gel + win trophies, there's no need for a scouting team. Just read what's reported in the papers. No need for a manager/coaches too.

Pogba can win the CL with juventus and the world cup with france. Why are people calling for him to be subbed or not even to start at all in so many matches? A lot of the players we've let go seem to be doing better elsewhere too. Must be because of glazers and woodward since they are the ones who train the players and come out with tactics at united.

And keeping a manager and a bunch of coaches who've not proved anything for the past 3 years isn't lowering expectations? Even ole's fantastic gift of being able to people-manage can't get rashford or martial to play to their potential or at least with a bit of heart. So much positivity he's spreading around the team made our mbe player lash out at his own captain in such exemplary fashion. So much team spirit is being promoted by ole that players who've been together for a few years now still can't figure out where their team mates will be for a pass.

Yea, it's the glazers and woowdward. They appointed ole.
*
Lol personal attack? Who started first "clueless yourself"? Please don't act you are divine

Matt Judge is a mediator he is not the final word, Woodward is holding the power for spending everything. He is so much power when he is an advisor for Glazer to buy United way back in 2005 $790million despite the fans protest which $545million as a loan and the interest of the loan is 1 billion

All the problem started from Glazer and Woordward!

for 3 managers failure with the same Board we can say something wrong is at the Board.

Who says by reading newspaper no need scouting? Haaland and Jude Bellingham are and were Ole target for a long time even before he joins in Borrusia

Grealish and Rice (West Ham)also what Ole wants but no instead of getting him Woodward deliver with a new contract for Mata and Matic.

The Board never deliver the players that Managers wanted. You can read what Van Gaal and Mourinho said, it is the same message

The cycle keeps repeating for the new manager 1st season spend some money then 2nd season bring players that the manager not wanted and 3rd season fired the manager

The main problem from United is The Board doesn't want to hire Director of Football. Named me 1 club with so many success in Europe and won CL in the modern world?

So since you hate so much Ole, who you suggest to replace Ole?

Wait what, you quoted my reply directly but you were not responding to me. Wow taichi master at his best.

Ok ok old trafford has confirmed that we could sign sancho, bellingham, grealish, rice, etc etc but it was woodward that decided against them. We make billions every month but spend only 1 million per player per season.

Where and when did i say i'm backing the glazers? And so what if i am? They bought the club through legal means, feel free to do the same yourself. If you think they've unlawfully stolen money from united, feel free to report them too.

It doesn't matter who I think should replace ole. Guess what, it makes no difference what you think about woodward or the glazers too. So no need to get personal.

For what it's worth, this is a forum for people to "discuss" matters related to a football club located half a world away, somewhere most "fans" haven't even been to or aren't directly emotionally or historically attached to themselves.
alien2003 Sorry for all the bickering, alien2003, this will be my last reply to this person. Guess you can see it's kinda irritating when a new accusation is thrown at you in every reply. Feel free to delete and clean up as you see fit.

Nice you so concern about Glazer money deficiency?

Like it or not you started pointing me by addressing "yourself" on your own comment.

Nice to know among United "fans" really concern about Glazer and woodward after spending carelessly so many occassion

Just remember Glazer puts United in debt for 1 billion!
