In a strange turn of event, I decided to get these cooling fans for BTU and router, and the desktop suddenly can use gigabit ethernet. Previously it always stuck at 100Mbps, and whenever I tried changing the duplex to gigabit, the connection won't work. It seems that heat does slow down/throttle the router and/or BTUs.
The fans are pretty quiet by the way. |
