Not sure can I claim RMA or warranty for slow performance? Anyone got similar experience before?

Just got my new SSD 512GB, but feel Windows and program loading speed slower than my previous 240GB SSD, and it ran hot. Run CrystalDiskMark came out result even slower than normal 7200rpm HDD!

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Aug 21 2021, 09:48 PM) Shopee has a lot of dubious seller, check for seller rating and dated joined? Actually it was from Shopee Mall, so I think they are the authorized seller also ..share the links to prevent more people fallen into the scam. ask for technical support from official website, to verify the authenticity of the product, at the same time make complain to shopee. even a badly configured SSD could not be that slow. the benchmark you posted are same as USB2 thumbdrive. |

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Aug 22 2021, 12:38 PM) USB2 is the connection, what do you expect? It's not the ssd issue, it's PEBKAC issue. PC SATA interface, use as normal single drive for Windows PC.Even the USB3 is considered slow without UASP enabled. There are no magic can make it faster, usb2 is the bottleneck. After that I plug to USB to re-verify the speed and comparing with that 5400rpm HDD. This post has been edited by voscar: Aug 22 2021, 01:13 PM |

QUOTE(antaras @ Aug 22 2021, 12:03 PM) Well, I already PM some of them regarding their question because I'm thinking it could be isolated QC or faulty unit.Since everyone keep asking the same question... It's ADATA SU650. horns liked this post

QUOTE(horns @ Aug 22 2021, 02:16 PM) there are things that can cause slow performance of ssd, e.g., 4k misalignment due to cloning, bad cable, bad sata port, driver issue, bios misconfiguration, etc. Thanks for your advice. I managed to get optimal speed on another newer laptop, done diskpart clean-up and fresh Windows installation...for now, you can use adata ssd toolbox to check health status of the drive, and run as ssd benchmark to see if the 4k alignment is good. for rma of the ssd, you might wanna contact adata at fb, https://www.facebook.com/AdataMalaysia/ to get more information about the process. When free gonna retry again on the older desktop PC with fresh installation, probably could be BIOS support issue or bad cloning. It was running fine with current Kingstone A400 for 2 years already... Attached thumbnail(s) horns liked this post
