specifically aiming for NVME replacement for my current samsung 970 (or 960? forgot model, later i'll check) 256GB
now wanna expand to 1TB so i could put a bit more stuff in there.
not really aiming for high-end, i guess around A2000 performance is sufficient (2000MB/s+ etc)

if the SX8200 Pro is no good then i'll think again
well saw that as well while searching, backed a bit after seeing price difference. i probably wont notice the difference for anything above 2000MB/s honestly
A2000 1TB is rated for 600TBW, i don't think i'll write that much tbh. even if i write 100TB per year, it'll still take 6 years to reach that 600TBW. 2200TBW might've been overkill
And I guess I'm posting here mostly because of unsure if SSD from Taiwan can be trusted or not. Price diff very high wor. 400 vs 470+, tempting

i'll shop around abit for similar specs lah 

also checked that in 2 years of use my SSD has about 16.5TB of writes in total.

Samsung PM981 if not mistaken it is similar to 970 EVO.

In light of the ADATA 8200 Pro downgrading, what's the go-to alternative for the price vs performance sweet spot with NVME drives? I presume the HP EX950 since it has a similar controller etc to the 8200 Pro?

Yes read about that, and even the PNY also reduce the TBW.

SK Hynix seem good compare to both PNY and Adata, but hardly any seller selling it and can't even find a Distributor in Malaysia (RMA might be a issue).

Regard to the slower nand controller, mind to share what exactly will it affect (my usage is only for normal gaming and some CAD software)?
