Looking for 2TB drives, PNY CS3040 or Kingston KC3000? There are even cheaper Kioxia G2 under RM450 from China

hi all, im here because my ssd died. I learned the hard way of importance of backing up data and files.

Does brand matter for m2 ssd for usage on laptop? If i just buy from well known one, for instance Kingston, should be fine right?

in my research for 2tb ssd, I found the transcend 220s to be cheaper than mx500.

those were good deals indeed smile.gif
3.84tb means 4tb with predefined op. however, the price is much lower than usual. if this is real, then it's a serious steal, because it has enterprise features that are missing in consumer drives.

note that this form factor needs compatible adapters, heatsinks and good air flow.
*
what are the enterprise features on these kind of datacenter ssd? tried to search on techpowerup only notice that it mention about lower latency on database usage

by the way found this on taobao

bought a USB encloser. SSD not detectable. All data lost. Boycott Kingston forever
*
how long was the Kingston NV2 used for? Kingston do make some reliable products, touch wood never had issue with their value rams running almost 24/7 for many years, also no issue with the highly recommended kc3000

maybe try samsung/ crucial/ corsair but go for better models instead of the budget series
