Hey guys, what is the current most bang-for-buck SATA SSD you'd recommend getting? Cant go for m.2 due to using old motherboard.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Jan 7 2021, 03:20 PM) M.2 PCIE 4.0: May I know the reason Samsung 860 Evo is only recommended up to 500GB? Only WD Black SN850 1TB at RM1149 promo price. M.2 PCIE: PNY CS3030 Transcend MTE220S Corsair MP510 M.2 SATA or regular SATA: Crucial MX500 Kingston KC600 Samsung 860 Evo (only up to 500GB) Thought of getting the 1TB version at around RM600 before reading about this. |

QUOTE(horns @ Apr 11 2021, 07:49 PM) I see. Thanks! Not sure about the price before this, but current price for the 500 GB is around RM300, 1TB = RM600, which I would say is pretty fair isn't it? |

QUOTE(TristanX @ Apr 11 2021, 08:12 PM) RM689 at the time of writing. The MX500 does seems like a really good buy here.Crucial MX500 1TB at RM465 with no effort of checking for cheaper ones. https://shopee.com.my/-%F0%9F%94%B1HIGH-PER...4711.5848246252 Just thought would the samsung have better reliability, performance & brand image? Seeing that you have 2 MX500 1TB, would you care to share your experience with them thus far? |

Would you guys recommend samsung 870 evo over 860 evo? Is the extra $ justified to have the 870?
