is NVME backward compatibility?
Let's say the laptop is using NVME M2 SSD, can downgrade to SATA M2 SSD? or subject to the motherboard? This post has been edited by NightFelix: Jan 7 2021, 04:48 PM |

QUOTE(x-1o8-x @ Aug 4 2021, 11:01 PM) hi guys, if non M2 form got 1k ish for 2TBcan anyone recommend a 2tb m.2 form factor drive mainly for data storage? I saw the NV1 and it seems cheap at around RM938 but the tbw seems pretty low. is there any better performer for around the 1k price range? also not sure if it's still relevant, but i'll likely torrent files to the same drive as well though i don't torrent often https://shopee.com.my/Samsung-SSD-860-EVO-(...5634?position=2 |

Doesn't need to be Samsung, but as long performance are still capped at NVME Gen3. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Oct 12 2023, 11:15 AM) Some laptops comes with 2 x M.2 NVMe slots I think 1 slots, because I upgraded mine 8GB to 16GB RAM, maybe soon put 32GB RAM lol.If this is the case, you don't have to pull out the 256GB SSD. Just leave it as it is for Windows & applications and use the secondary slot to install another NVMe SSD for your documents/videos/game install diretory & etc State the year & full model number of your laptop https://laptopmedia.com/highlights/inside-l...pgrade-options/ |

I look into it.I quickly check it seems to be KC3000 1TB cost around RM300-330. On the another side, I saw some people selling on the used market those laptop/desktop pull out condition 99-100% PM9A1 Gen3 1TB @ RM150 and Gen4 1TB @ RM230. |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Apr 29 2024, 07:25 PM) HDD since someone say HDD is better, so I just shared how much I just bought recently. The seller sell pulled out system hardware stuff from new/used/refurbished stuff. So if is new pulled from system, he will listed as new pulled from system, if used pulled from system, he will listed as used pulled from system or just as used with lesser seller warranty. QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Apr 29 2024, 09:27 PM) where did you get said hdd from, suprisingly "fake" hdds exist and many are on lazada/shopee shopee/lazada, seller I think from northern Penang.basically they take an old drive, print a new label onto it, wipe smart data and sell as new |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ May 1 2024, 09:01 PM) Which seller really trusted on online ? It'd be hard to find a well pack and trusted seller for HDD.You know , our parcel all throw here and there. And the warranty issue like 7 days warranty. mine packed with thick like 15cm thick surround bubble wrap and a wood box. came with 1 year supplier warranty.but okay la. i use it on secondary PC to store my stuff. at so cheap, cant complain. search PC junction at laz/pee/google.
