Lol if u compare Normal TV with LCD TV u see a lot of difference!
And i also doubt that the MGS will be in Full 1080p!!! So far only Sony itself has come out with game in that resolution!
It is up to you loh! 24" if use in small space it is nice enough! If you use it in the Living Room and your living room is very big then go for 32" and above! It will also be easier to view text word in a distance!
i think the thread starter wants to buy a LCD rather thn a CRT monitor.. so lets all jus skip CRT cause we all know its far less superior to LCDs..
MGS4 is to be out on 720p..
and yea really depends on your space tat u think it might fit best.. yr study table? or living room? or hall way? really boils down on distance u would sit frm the LCD.
pretty much like sitting in the theater..... would u hv a BIG screen but sit so near.. yr eye can only focus on one area at a time? or far away where u can see all of it..
ALLOT of people i see post pics where thy sit so close to a 32" tv... it really blinds thm.. u'd only strain yr eyes. jus to LOOK CLOSER at the details of the pic..

are you a fan boy???
please la Xbox360 have already a few games which have 1080i native la...
for me la... I'll choose LCD TV... coz you can have al lthe entertainment on the TV including computer...
but for monitor they have highe resolution which is not that nice when you are watching DVD or TV...
sounds like u're more of a fan boy thn he is.

it really depends. most people would go for 720p rather thn 1080i due the 60fps and 30fps difference.
firstly motion!!!
QUOTE
Motion is different issue. If you want to see motion clearly, then live action 720p is what looks best, compared to 1080i. Here's why: the information content of 720p is about the same as 1080i, though what it lacks in spatial resolution, it makes up for in temporal resolution (because the picture is at 1/60th of a second, not 1/30th x 2.) On 1080i, this would show as flickered or jagged edges on bright horizontal objects (like in the background of a camera pan.)
2nd pricing and difference only noticeable with a HUGE screen
QUOTE
Tests of visual acuity to determine the resolution required of a television transmission system by the BBC's J.O. Drewery and R. Salmon determined that at 9 feet, a 50 inch screen at 720p's resolution will give you all the resolution you can see! At 9 feet, a 56 incher needs 1080i to avoid seeing the pixel structure. If you sit farther or closer, you may need more resolution.
u mostly only go beyond 720p if.. u hv 40" and above. other thn tat its really no point... unless u're rich.. thn its a diff story. reason being the prices of LCD these days leaps frm jus a few inches away. talking about 32" to a 40" inch jump...
and dude.. LCD tv and Monitor these days.. no diff reason being u can hook HDMI and DVI altogether.. it depends on many other factors not jus general.. u've got TN + film, IPS, MVA, PVA.. 8-bit 6-bit coloring, refresh period, contrast, brightness.. plenty of things so u cant generalize that LCD tv are better thn monitors..
there is a converter or adapter u know too u know.. for both plugs
mostly 24" and above comes with HDMI ready being the twice the price jump frm 22" where for the 24" the 1080p cut off point comes in..
so it really boils down to how much are u willing to spend.. and where u aiming at.. if u wanna go 22" but below 32" thn i suggest a good computer LCD.. if u wanna hit 32" and above.. pls get a home entertainment LCD
