The only consolation of that deal is Madueke business would be aside from Eze deal.. We still are going for Eze..

So all that just means its kinda crazy to drop 50m for a backup winger.. Holy fk..

It would be a travesty if this affected our other targets. We better not be stingy with the Gyok deal.

Gyok >> Eze > Madueke sounds less absurd than just Madueke.. The higher ups better not drop the ball on those.

Also, after having some thought about it.. Madueke for 52m doesn't seem like we absurdly overpaid if you look at the market..
Kudus & Elanga went for 55m and they weren't as good as Madueke last season.. So unfortunately that's the price to pay these days for a winger..

Saka's hamstrings cant be playing too much 90mins games if he wants to last beyond 26 years old.. Saka definitely needs to be rotated more often.

HOPEFULLY, Madueke is an adequate enough option. I didnt watch any of him to cast any judgements, so i'll just take the fact that at least half of chelsea's fanbase are bummed that they sold Madueke to us and ignore the other half that thinks we helped them get rid of trash..

and as always, back the player! Like it or not he's one of us now. Plenty of good can come from backing the player, while literally nothing good would come out from being toxic to our own players. It's not as if us fans being unhappy/toxic about a player would somehow make said player.... stop existing..

sporting wanted 70+10 and wont budge from it... we wanted 65+15 and not budging from it either.. End up deal at 63.+10.. AND reportedly Gyok forego 2mil of his pay + now his agent forego their 10% commission as well, just to facilitate the deal because Sporting and Arsenal not budging from their stance..

This is my first time seeing not just the player but the player's agent as well folding their cards just to make sure the deal happens.



Gyok REALLY REALLY REALLY wants to come here. There would be no doubts about his committment. This is ELITE mentality man. I am in tears. Gyok doesnt care about the money, it's not his priority.

let me explain it in layman terms..

because sporting wants the easy add ons that will essentially make gyok base price higher..

so instead of the deal being 63.5m + 10m add-ons, with the 10m being dependent on whether we hit OUR goals/targets (which to arsenal's POV, if we do hit our target, then forking out the 10m would be fine and fair, means gyok has helped us achieved our target! and we would be happy to pay up those add-ons!)

but instead sporting want those 10m to be easily achievable add-ons (e.g. X number of appearances add-ons) that would essentially guarantee gyok's price to be 73.5m instead of 63.5m...
The worry from Arsenal's POV is, if we didn't achieve OUR goals/targets, then we end up paying a lot more for gyok and since we didnt achieve those goal/target means the addition of Gyok hasnt really benefitted us...

This is not just a matter of being JUST "2.5mil".. and as you said, you think the club wanna penny pinch and fuck around just because of a mere 2.5mil??
It's a lot more complicated than that.. Let the club sort the negotiations out. I have absolutely ZERO worries and no doubts that Gyok would be an Arsenal player.

Also guys, pls remember who we are dealing with here.. its fucking Sporting. A fking cursed club whenever we deal with them. Tomi and Saliba both got injured in that Europa game that derailed our season when we had a chance to win the league. and on top of that, it is THAT game that ended Tomi's career with us. Sporting are just being cunts trying to milk this deal to the max.. Gyok and his agent have already waived their pay and the agent's commission fees that Sporting now dont need to pay up and yet they still trying to ask more and more.
