If you planning to ground your body ground battery, alternator + to battery, engine ground chasis, a high copper surface 1/0 or 4AWG will be good enough. Im running a parallel 12v and it does help a bit with overall charging, I was dragging my alternator at first because its not for parallel, but at least after thicker grounding, everything charge @ normal rate 14.3v±.

You dont want it under 13.8v or over 14.5v.. impossible to be exact 14v, new vios unit all came in with alterntor charging@ 13.6v..
