Recently....saw a video talking about car grounding cable.

i know having good grounding does smoothen a lot of things....but 700 plus for 1 copper cable isn't excessive ?



i feel like can DIY it myself. for <100 bucks by using some good grade copper cable

Buy one roll of thick cables, cable lugs and compression tool.

DIY is cheaper.

Last time I grounded my car, it added 10 hp.

mine is 5hp only. same as my sticker.

If your car is old or improperly grounded, the cables have more resistances.

The will be minimal improvements gained from improving the grounding.

I did the grounding before. Zero noticeable effect. Placebo also don't have.

based on the sharing...your car must be old enough to have noticeable effect

cable 5hp, + sticker 5hp = 10 hp. the max limit increase is 10hp.

So how does earthing the car reduces the resistance inside the wires?

One thing most important when doing this grounding is ensure all cables are tied down properly.

I kena 1 cable was on a aircon aluminium (or is it copper) pipe. It was not tied down so due to vibrations from the engine, the Grounding wire keep hitting the pipe until got hole. Very expensive to repair. Some more got warranty SC open my engine bay and point out the grounding cable was the root cause. So need to pay my own money for the repairs.

700 for ground cable? Topkek. At most I would pay 100 for professionally done for one cable, usually there would be three.

My car stciker alone alreay gained 10hp... no need grounding...

Stupidity till eternity.

Luckily I drive conti car, my ecu can till me if my ground isn't tight

Bottom line snake oil if ur car doesn't have big speaker amps and modified alternator/battery or corroded wire to put the stupid thing

if your car you cheapskate replaced with oem or halfcut spare parts and your car has all sorts of ah beng modified like audio, lights, then adding grounding has some good side to audio and lights but that does not add any bhp.
