Haha... .so the 838Pro still reliable eh? Good to know you're still keeping it. Im still using a SPB POcket PLus and Wisbar Advance combo. No problems at the moment using Window Vista Theme.....

Hey, it works for me. i just put it into my documents and i found it in the notifications and sound. I kind of changed the name to Sms.wav tho. But it shouldn't be any different. Anyway, just want to tell you it works. I am uploading a bunch of sounds for you. try it.

do u use Photocontactpro?

I did a testing on assign a sms tone to my bro and he send a sms to me and guess what it works..

then i remove his sms tones from Photocontactpro.......no notification at all.....did u use photocontactpro for your device? mine is the stable version V502 Full version.

Hi guys, been wanting a PDA since they launch the 1st ATOM but it is too pricey. But hey, my boss at work is selling his 838 Pro. Its a lil over a year with a new battery. According to him, the unit just came back from serving/fixing from the service centre.

Hi wants to sell it at RM500. Do you think its a good buy? How long does these things last anyway? Sorry if my question is out of topic

rm 500 is very cheap ...if no problem , can take it .

He's a very straight guy..if got problem i'm sure he will tell me...plus he's the GM at my dept...so if anything, i will haunt him....hahaha...havent tried it but i'll make sure everything is in order before i pay him....but the only thing is, no warranty lar...hhhmmm, i wonder what do i need to check in particular before i pay him....but i'll check the rest of the forum to find out....

yeah still prefer 838pro much better. i wish later on would have better 838pro with VGA screen and big RAM and ROM and fastest CPU and built in GPS then perfect hehehehehehe

The sound.zip file is working fine. I just downloaded it again from the lyn. I dont know why you guys can't download it...

guys.... i have prob here

i wanted to flash with ryan's latest rom but somehow the installation stops at 68% and repoted that the connection lost.... i tried second time and the issue still same... i exited the flash utility and wanted to flash with ryan's previous version... but than the uitlity complains that the connection cannot be made... any other method i can recover my PPC?? please help meeee....

Added on August 27, 2007, 6:49 pmadoy... i tried to do hard reset by pressing the soft keys and reset button using stylus, bootloader appear then white screen saying loading... after that the bootloader reappear without any option for soft reset....

do i need to continuously press those 3 buttons until the hard reset option appear?? or just press once and wait??

bernardryan, in your kitchen guide, it didn't mention how to customize the rom...errr like removing certain app that i didn't want and also adding stuff that i need.

2) can i get it below RM2500 at lowyat/sungei wang plaza with qualified dealer? location?
3) how about the warranty? dopod? location? i dont want AP for pricey stuff...
4) which brand with better services? dopod? o2? etc? or htc itself?
5) will i get my dopod with WM6 with the latest s/n or self install?
6) how to check s/n from the device (each brand, thanks)?
7) any links information for this device? already search around and none satisfied me
8) what should i know and any good advice before buying this weekend?
