I drove a Stream with 5 passengers. And I felt it's underpower. And FC so-so only.
Never driven a Wish b4. But Wish is better looking that's for sure. |

mizandude : yes.... stream has 3rd row air vent... which WISH dun hav... thats the oni downside if comparing WISH with STREAM ... they say the back will get warm when the weather is hot but anyone here know wat is the recon price and second hand price ? |

a 03 - 04 model would cost u around 120k - 130k... and 05 and above will easily cost u more den 140k.... a new wish from umwt is only cost u 170k with all the goodies are stripe-off which means no HID no LCD screen and not black rear window...

I have a Wish from Naza, not UMW. It's 1.8 and has the same engine with Altis, slower pickup but then good fuel consumption. One tank can go up to 600 - 700km. But slack part is the last seats dont have aircond so its hot for people who sit in the back and bumpy a bit.

ok,
toyota wish: more leg space and suitable for tall ppl. but for the the airconditioning not very nice. honda stream: suitable for family of 4-5 (considering 3 are kids), better airconditioning but less spacious. i reccomend u get the toyota wish, u can get it from me too. toyota QC is well-known and spare parts are easy to find and considerably cheap too. I'm driving a J spec 2003 1.8 model wish... it's very entertaining when driving it.. very good handling.. and the most important thing is very good fuel consumption. It comes with original HID.. so not really much thing to mod

QUOTE(ADVAN @ Aug 20 2007, 07:36 PM) yes, very good... i mean it... 1 tank oil can run at least 650km.. assuming just 1 person in car. underpower or not is very subjective , i think it's more powerful than CR-V 1st version even it's 1.8 only . because i drove CR-V old version last time, compare with wish... just like driving an sedan car... very fun to drive.. |

QUOTE(Ken @ Aug 19 2007, 08:39 PM) QUOTE(ckkean @ Aug 19 2007, 09:22 PM) Caldina passenger space is very small unlike Wish/Stream. you will feel very limited space even if only 4ppl in it. If you looking at family car then definitely not advisable. But performance wise |

Caldina is not an MPV.... it's a sports wagon. Therefore cannot compare to the space which Wish or Stream has.

I think the Toyota Wish is better eventhough I think Honda cars have more design in them in the interior but the Toyota Wish is also prone to carjacking.

This is very true. Harrier, Wish, Camry & even Vios seems to be preferred by thief or car jacker. Don't know is it Toyota used inferior security system. |

Great, so the thread reactivated again by today. Hohoho...
Well, actually i'm a fan of Wish.. a dreamer too.. Is there anyone here who owned a Wish? Cause would like to know how much for the car service cost normally at Toyota Service center. And also wish to know is the accessories for Wish is expensive? For example the absorber etc. if compared with a normal sedan car. Insurance definitely not cheap, this i know. Fuel consumption around how many km/l? Happy New Year to everyone.. |

I'd already saw the new stream on the road, just in front of me. But then, other than the head of the stream which like odysey is nice and new, i still think wish looked nicer ler.. Cause the new stream made me feel that it looked more like a 4WD then a MPV. Sigh..
It's also cheaper than new Wish.. But then.. I still like Wish more. Hohoho.. FYGI, I'm can only afford a 04 Wish. Can't afford the new one which cost RM156k. |

My opinion lar..
When for test drive a Toyota Wish 2.0 at Toyota showroom..performance not bad ( me and SA) but when 7 peoples in the car, need to press more fuel About honda stream?? not sure yet coz haven't sit, drive or seen on the road Just my 2cents |

Most of the cars or any vehicles for sure will required more fuel to move the vehicles if the number of peoples inside is getting more and more. This we can't skipped.
As i mentioned earlier, Wish only weakness is the aircon can't really reach the last row even with the so called aircon booster highlighted in the Toyota site. other than that, it's still stylish. Of caused in this case don't talk about the new look of new Stream lar. Bad news is the main point is i won't have the budget of more than 120k also. That's like holding my neck while walking. So can count the new Wish and the new Stream out. As i could only afford a 2nd hand / recon Wish. Old stream which is much cheaper need not to consider. |

Hahaha... Lagi i know, but what can do, my economy can't go for new one.
At first i also thought about Civic somemore, it's price almost same. But then considering on fetching people more than 6 then headache already. If the new Stream is around 120k how nice. Then i no need consider so much already. Haha.. |

Innova is like a bigger Unser or Avanza. Rather take Civic than a 4WD lookalike MPV.
Mazda 5 looked not bad. But then, still it's over 120k lar, bro. In addition is i know Honda and Toyota are famous in less fuel consumption. At least that's what i found out about Honda City, Civic, Wish and VIOS. Other models i didn't researched much on it. Never mind, i guess not much option also since the budget is fixed. But if anyone who is a Wish owner, do tell me the standard mileage service charges, fuel consumption (?km/l), Wish accessories part's price etc. Need to know it before i get the Wish. Much appreciate. Thx. |

To be honest, i test sit in avanza before. Like the same phrase mentioned by others earlier, passenger from the last seat will hate the driver or owner too as the last row is more suitable for children. Adult wise, i guess it's ok if they don't mind to be like sardin in their tin especially for hourly ride to outstation. Hohoho.. For me Avanza is more comfortable for only 5 compare to 7.
No offend, it's just my 2 cent. |

Guess what, your 16km/l or even 14km/l is almost double of my Wira fuel consumption which is around average 8km/l. Now i gained one supportive point which shows my reseach info is correct. Refer to the comparison, I believe Wish will definitely more preferable than Wira right? But tishaban, so far have you required to change any part of the Wish yet due to spoiled or whatever? Got people tell me that Wish part is expensive and advised me not to take it. What do you as a actual user think? And is the last row really that hot? go for stream i will say, coz it a new model. toyota wish already have for the past few years. for course, wish is 2.0cc. stream is 1.8cc so u cannot compare lor. if u have lower budget then go for recond 1.8cc wish lor. btw, if u wan more power might go for mitsubishi grandis 2.4cc.
but i will say this type of car is not about performance lar, if wan performance go for caldina then. try to consider mitsubishi grandis 2.4. it is the car of the year 2008. far better than wish and stream. |

AirBooM, That's what i about to ask. How much does it cost to install the 3rd row Aircon blower. Been looking around the WCM forum but can't find that thread yet.
Travies if can i wish to take Grandis and Stream too. But my budget should not exceed RM120k is my main problem. Furthermore 2.0cc above roadtax very gao. That's y i guess i should remain to recond 1.8 Wish below 120k. climacool, new stream is cheaper than new wish. Cool front design, but body looked more like SUV than MPV feel for me. |
