A hypermarket near my office just got asked today to close down because of Covid cases. Now HR is asking boss of each department to do contact tracing for the staffs.

I been WFH but then got went in office a few days ago to update my laptop. Luckily I didn't passed thru the hypermarket

I think Sony is now sending units to each countries in small batches, rather than just one big shipment.

So might have more regular re-stocks albeit small quantities

Sony probably already data harvested the profile of MY buyers when they did ROI back last year.

Actually from this 2nd round of pre-orders, can roughly see the different ownership of Sony Stores.


1. Big boss - Sony Malaysia FB, online Sony website
2. KLCC, Curve - using 'Sony Store Malaysia' in FB
3. MV - by Foto Shangri-La. also use "Sony.MY" in Shopee
4. Sunway Pyramid - Sony.OS in Shopee

Other Sony Centres probably also under different ownership.

That's why every shop has their own PO methods, and not the same back in Nov (announcement made by big boss aka Sony Malaysia)
