well i do watch a lot of reviews also but sometimes reviews can be very biased. But in this case, it is worth the extra Rm300+ hands down even without the seamless integration.
This is considered my first actual pair of gaming headset as well considering i just used my pulse 3d for less than 5 hours. LOL. I just started spending more hours last night with the 7p default EQ with GOT. I was playing the heavenly strike chapter and was able to pinpoint the lady faint sobbing sound underneath the bridge almost immediately with the help of my headset and without looking at the map indicator. I find that the default is okay to my liking overall. Have yet to try to connect to PC and adjust the EQ but will do when I have time. If you say the 7 is muffled, the pulse even more muffled imo. Yes it is super comfortable! I did not feel the need to take it off as well.
Few of my friends told me GOT sound effect is fantastic.
Definitely on my to play list.
Too many games to play and I really struggling with my PS4 backlogs, luckily PS5 don't have any titles that I really want to play yet.
Noted that you're on default eq setting.
I try tweak mine multiple times in SteelEngine, to me it sounded better than default but still I couldn't tweak it to my taste.
Maybe I always prefer open back headphone sound, so I didn't quite enjoy Arctis 7 sound signature.
Will give the default sound eq another try.
Don't get me wrong, I don't regret my Arctis 7 purchase.
For the price we pay I think it does what it needs to do pretty decently, and it's unfair for me to compare the sound quality with my other headphones (purely for music listening).
It's the most comfortable headphone in my possession right now, and the mic is pretty ok (feedback from my gaming buddies).
Wireless is just so much more convenient for gaming, and don't forget the battery life is amazing as well.
Had to sacrifice audio quality a bit, but I'm ok with it
