i saw heavyarms got.. taking PO for end of february arrival..

Even thought I just got my Pulse3D a few days ago, i'm already lookinmg at the 7Ps.. mainly due to how the headset feels and the cramped controls .. In fact I just pm'd HeavyArms and asked how much was the deposit and was going to go in the next couple of days.

There was one thing I wanted to find out and glad this video covers it (exact time at the link below)

but I saw this video and they were dealbreakers for me (though for some they would be minor)



1) No quick control to set chat/game audio balance. PULSE 3d has this
and secondly (this is quite a petty requirement)

2) If you turn off the headset, it doesn't default back to speakers. You need to open up the audio menu on the PS5 and switch the audio (and this doesn't persist, so as long as you have the usb dongle connected and you on and off your PS5 it will default back to the USB receiver)

If these things bother you like it does me haha , maybe wait a little for more PS5 targeting headsets.. but other than these two thing the 7p looks solid from reviews so far.

yeah that's another thing that's attracting me also.. any chance they would update the firmwarre or something to allow for the two things i mentioned in the future ? haha ( i mean in general do they even do that ?) .. They could allow you to adjust the presets on the headphones to use the sidetone slider for chat/game audio balance for example.

hmm surely it can't be smaller than the Pulse3d though right?

The reason i've been looking at the arctis7p even though I just got the pulse3d is because the pulse3d is starting to get uncomfortable.. not unbearable but definitely no where near the comfort from my Nari (which I use for PC)

couple of us here got it from a shop in taiwan..

They were selling for rm 400 ish.. but now the price has gone up and is closer to the retail price in Malaysia.

argh saw a couple of reviews on the comfort and sound quality and it make sme want to jump on the 7p... damn lol.. i need to cut myself off from temptation. I wonder if people will want to buy my pulse XD

Thinking if i want to PO from Heavy Arms they say coming in Feb/March

Went to HeavyArms to PO the Arctis7P lol. Coming in March.. hoping by then I can sell my Pulse3D at a somewhat decent price still.


One thing .. 1st time at HeavyArms and my perception of them is totally different ..

thought they are more "modern" type of gaming store? Like Impulse.. but the staff there a bit eh..

Go in there told them I want to PO Arctis 7p.. the guy look at me like weird weird. I reiterated and he asked me "Arctis 7p?" then he proceeded to check his phone for few minutes to see what it is..

Then finally found it.. he like don't know what to do .. after a nother few minutes, he took down my details.. while looking up the arctis 7p on his phone again...

took longer than I expected in that no aircond shop haha.. Somemore decided to walk around SS15 a bit, so I parked my car like almost the other end of where they were.. (near drive-thrue mcd side) .. I was like sweating and waiting for him to done..

Not a very interesting story but feel like rant lol .. the game i've been playing most is MH.. the game feels so smooth on the PS5..

(never got into the PC version because didn't want to restart the game)

Something to discuss/think about regarding the PS5, but not really about gaming.

I saw more than a few on the PS5 page that are looking forward to buy a ps5 with the iSinar kwsp thing.

Just wondering is that wise? What do you guys think? Not judging or anything, just curious what everybody thinks in relation to the purpose of the iSinar thing.

I'm on 800mbps unifi. So far have not had download problems (using lan though).. My downloads finish quite fast.

50 GB is done in minutes. (done done... not just the "Ready to Play" state yeah)

My router is asus one running the merlin firmware thing.. (not sure if it makes a difference)

As I understand it those higher frame rates > 60 is usually really for competitive purposes..

however on VR I do feel quite a significant difference.. tried switching between 60fps and 72fps while playing Oculus Quest linked to PC.. and I find that I get less motion sickness from 72fps?

Could be confirmation bias or what not.. but do feel it's a bit smoother.

I seriously think they are handling it MLM style..

They got xxx number of rm 900 deposits.. they can easily buy a few retail/scalped PS5 and then release it to a few folks whom ordered from them. Ask them for good reviews among socmed (i think i saw a couple in PS5 malaysia gang fb page) and then wait for more deposits.

Hmm ordered the charging station from that Shopee Taiwan store.. the item's been ready to ship for almost 5 days now.

I talked to the page and they said need to check with supplier.. which for me kinda sucks. I expected the item to be in-stock and ready to ship.. not have to wait for a preorder etc.. Just a headsup if anybody plans to order from them for this item.. ask them if got stock first.

I think have to give some credit to Sony.. don't think the polis bantuan will go extra mile to ward off queue cutters etc.. must be that sony store actually ensured that they did to control the crowd... Good that they thought of that ..

I think dualsense controller you can still get locally quite easily ? I think some of us bought the pulse 3d headset as well as the dualsense charger.

however I ordered the charger from one of the stores and it';s been "ready to ship" for almost a week now. I messaged them and I fear that they are now out of stock but still taking orders.. I told the seller I didn't buy "PO" , I'm buying ready stock and asking them to confirm the stock status.

If it takes them a long time to stock it.. by then Malaysia might have ready stock lol.
