I thought the lenses protector is redundant as the lenses protectors are made from sapphire crystal? Shared earlier in one of the videos? unsure.gif I could be wrong though.

Agree. Plus with the casing it is quite protected already from flat surface scratches..

If you want to buy on easy payment plan then you’ll need to get from resellers like Switch, Machines, Senheng, etc. If you’re buying outright with cash then yes, can buy from Apple online. All will fine with standard Apple warranty but resellers will offer their own extended warranty plan for a fee (sometimes a bit exorbitant). If you can get from Senheng will be the best, 2nd year warranty free for members (just pay RM12 to join).
Here. Mine is a 12 and not Pro/Pro Max smile.gif
No budget for Monarch, hehehe...
*
It will be in due time that Apple online will offer 0% installments without any catch unlike some resellers like Machines and Harvey Norman is doing.

This year we are one of the tier 1 release for iPhone 12 pro max. Next will be their installments I bet. Afterall lion city apple has it. We are just slower...

Slimcase.
*
Interesting. This is the case that clearly states a 2 year yellow protection. So many other cases says yellow resistance but under the fine print describes it as part of wear and tear and is not covered.

I’m a little less optimistic about this. I don’t think we’ll get elevated to the same status as Lion City until and unless we get a physical Apple Store here, which may not happen.
No, Apple's own website for Malaysia does not offer instalment payments via credit card. You can only do that via resellers like Lazada, Shopee, Senheng, etc.
*
I agree. It is hard to match with Lion City in terms of their strength. From 1 to 3 stores...damn. We definitely need a physical store first and foremost...

We have even lost out to Thailand. They have 2 stores and an installment plan though only for 10 months max....

Yes and my dad accidentally threw away mine. It was so thin that he thought it was a mould from the leather case I received. doh.gif
*
How is it? Is it frosted/matte at the back and they say it has enough lip to protect the lens. I am scared it just barely enough lip just as to lay flat on a desk but still have full contact on the table. I am currently using ringke fusion and their depth was adequate for me.

Same, me too sometimes. I have disabled "Require Attention for Face ID" and it works better for me. She purposely wanna ask me if I encounter this issue as we haven't met after I bought 12 Pro Max and her BF is also first timer for iOS. laugh.gif She said she has not faced this issue on 11 Pro Max.

Until now I will still believe she has recorded her face in her BF's phone but she said only can unlock at certain angle. laugh.gif
*
I too find it hard to believe this certain angle thing if the FaceID data is not inside. I guess when you have the time to probe more and meet face to face the truth will be revealed... icon_idea.gif

I tried looking at 45º to the phone and FaceID just ignored me...so ya cool2.gif

So my observation is correct this whole time. My current iPhone tends to look filtered/beautified. I told this to my iPhone friends but they won't believe me (it's my first iPhone and they have been long-time iPhone users).

Now that the Galaxy S21 series it out, reviewers have pointed out how iPhones have oversaturated and filtered images. It's not a deal breaker but this must be where Apple is heading. They might beat Huawei with unrealistic colors (I hope not).

I haven't taken any indoor shots that are so overexposed. Seriously wtf. Anyhow I could do just that if I wanted to by tweaking AF lock + slider up.

Quite disappointed with Hoda Sapphire TG... keeps having bubble at the corner
*
The tempered glass at that corner is not straight with the top or properly aligned. I had exactly the same situation like yours. This bubble happens because of some friction with the casing. You have to take it off and reapply again.

I started with iPad 1 since more than a decade ago and always an iPad fan. tongue.gif
Just last year went for iPhone and no more turning back now, it seems. laugh.gif
*
I am an Apple convert from the iPhone 7 onwards. Never looked back. Never bothered because I am super pleased with all things Apple. wub.gif

Was an ardent Android fan but picking up the Steve Jobs biography changed everything and by right it is. Everything about Apple simply works.

I chose iPhone simply because of its camera. I was supposed to change to iPhone since iPhone XS (finally dual SIM) but kept thinking I will have issue with WhatsApp as I cannot afford to lose my chat. Finally researched enough to know how to migrate from Android, took the leap and happy with the decision (though expensive). laugh.gif
*
I exported all whatsapp chats to email. Keep it in a cloud and start afresh with the iPhone. tongue.gif

Then there is the zero worries about getting the next security update and OS updates. Expensive yes, but overtime it is worth every single cent. Still cost isn't an issue for you especially at the pace you're accumulating Apple products... laugh.gif

It’s not refurbished. Model start with M

I dont really remember but
The plastic seems like it’s sealed and tight before opening it
I tried to close the box using the plastic but it won’t be as tight as before
*
The original shrink wrap you won't be able to seal it back using the same plastic because it was perforated along the lines where you pull it open. It is fully tamper proof.

I think you need to call Apple support and get the IP where it was first logged in. Or if Apple had made a mistake.

I don’t, I use an auto disconnect charging cable that turns off once the phone is fully charged to 100%.

What brand are you using? And at what point do the cables recharge back?

Hoho, got my new replacement from SenQ retail afterall. Dont want proceed with refund because i got best deal lar  brows.gif If refund waste je, I got best deal RM4700 for a Pro Max. I think the most unfortunate event are broken phone i've received from them.

The replacement process are smooth, just the different customer services told me 3 solution which lead me to holand. Anyway nice phone yooooooo drool.gif

Glad that it was just a hiccup. Enjoy your phone. It is worth every cent.

The day which I didn’t want to face has finally arrived... my battery health drops to 99% now. cry.gif After almost 5 months of use. Well, I kinda expect it to happen anytime soon as I have been using it heavily recently...

My OCD kicks in. Urgh.
*
Oooh I had mine dropped last week... want to check ur current battery cycle? brows.gif

follow these steps

~Settings/Privacy/analytics&improvements
~Analytics data/log aggregated *latest dates*
~export to notes, search batterycycle

the number next to it shows ur current battery cycle out of 500

My bad. I missed a step. I saved to Dropbox first then I export to Notes.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 10 2021, 05:46 PM)
I see. I thought there is an easier option lol. OK, mine is 126 and 129. Not sure which is which lol.
*
It is under the batterycyclecount. It is not too bad actually. You can change the battery after two years. It will gets you at least 4 years of peak usage. Won't that be about the right time to upgrade? tongue.gif

So it’s 129 for me. What’s yours since it has dropped to 99%? tongue.gif And how’s your charging pattern?
laugh.gif 4 years no la. Maybe 2 years later I will change a new phone. tongue.gif
We need more data on this. Maybe not battery cycle count determines, it could be the charging pattern as well like you mentioned. laugh.gif
*
Mine is at 97. Probably battery health drops to 99% at about 95? I always charge it before it gets below 70%. Won't charge overnight. There are two things that I worry about. Simply overcharging and night thunderstorms. Heard is not good to get electronics device connected to the grid during thunderstorms. About once every fortnight I will get the battery down to less than 20% on purpose and charge it to 100%. I do it religiously on that too. laugh.gif

Then battery cycle doesn’t determine the battery health. It could be the charging pattern. laugh.gif
By the way, are you using MagSafe charger or which type of charger?
That’s still very low battery cycle count. rclxms.gif
Hahaha. I think changing a battery sounds like a more economical solution. tongue.gif

I’m using MagSafe though but I blame it to the recent heat. tongue.gif
*
Ya, that's weird. And I was worry shit about battery health and fast charging that I dig my old 5W Apple charger and actually bought new Ugreen USB-A to lightning cable. Now it doesn't make sense. Considering that you have been fast charging all these while?

I guess I might as well just buy a 20W usb charger.
