Let’s hope the batteries on the 13 series is more robust smile.gif

Actually to solve this issue, all Apple has to do is remove that battery health percentage. No other Android phones provide this info.
*
Wasn't it shown now because Apple secretly throttles it then to make their phone slower when it is at 80%? This battery health percentage indicator is to let us know that we only need to have the battery change rather than buying a new phone. wink3.gif

Anyway, I suppose many of us here don't like to send in their phones to AASP to have their battery replacements. Hasn't been very efficient but things got better here after the batterygate. Now only takes half a day vs few days prior.

The battery health came about because of the sudden shutdown of iPhones. Irony.

Well don’t disagree lower w, is better in a sense. Just use it. RM450 to change battery. Can’t afford iPhone, battery can afford. I raised earlier, just comparing with past iPhones only and whether it is norm for everyone as well.
*
RM450 is not bad to be honest. If it is a normal degradation I would pay it without a whimper. But if Apple is screwing up, then I rather not. I don't game with my iPhone by expecting it as normal to change the battery in like 13-14 months is insane.

How about Machines? Same day replacement as well?

My battery health stays fixed at 87% for now and it will be unable to goes down in time to 80% before the warranty expires. It is about three weeks remaining. Not cool. I guess I would have to pay for it.

Nonetheless, still gonna wait for the battery degraded messages pop-up before I change. Not any sooner. Nvm the lesser capacity. I have just ordered a wireless powerbank to deal with it.

It is a new stuff, I think only launched on 1st Oct. Anyway, on second thought I will probably go for reseller set next time, I don't need expensive postpaid plan anymore in the future. biggrin.gif Might as well buy it outright from reseller and if I want can opt for the usual 12 months installment plan.
*
Yup, my favourite store has always been Lazada Apple authorised reseller. 12 months installment the best, no need 18 or 24 months. Too long and too messy. The year before last year gave us additional one year warranty and this year gives 20w and magsafe wireless charger. Why they have no promotion last year I wonder...

Thanks for sharing this, looks good in my opinion! However, I'm concerned on their delivery, will they deliver on day 1? blush.gif
If like this I can change iPhone every year. rolleyes.gif
I do have another issue though, my current AirSIM for AW is tied to this expensive Digi PF365 plan because my Amb0 is not eligible for AirSIM. laugh.gif Let me think how to settle this issue next year. laugh.gif
*
Not all the time I guess. I got mine 12 Pro on day 2. I remembered all the commotions then from us not receiving on day 1 caused the following day was Deepavali. People do get it on day 1 but unfortunately none of the forumers got it. Everyone was upset that we may only get ours on Monday until we noticed there's package movement on day 2... rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

I see.. So I need to be prepared that I may not get on day 1. laugh.gif

I think their preorder is a mess. Normally their 12.01am order and same day shipping is easier. Anyhow, I tried to use their website for 13 pro. Can't even get one at all. Lucky I wasn't getting one this year. cool2.gif whistling.gif

Very lucky for you and I think you are the only one here who still manages to maintain such high battery health, mine already dropped to 86% and tomorrow is just 1 year old.  bangwall.gif
Really wish it drops to below 80% so that I can get rid of the battery and change a new one.
By the way, has anyone changed iPhone battery in the past, do we really need to leave our phone there for at least one day? I don't have any spare phone or iPhone to use temporarily.
*
Suddenly yours goes down 1% faster than mine blush.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 12 2021, 03:31 PM)
Good to hear this but due to pandemic, everything needs appointment. 3 hours is fine with me.  blush.gif
*
Yah, 3 hours is awesome. Get the earliest appointment, send in and come out just before lunch time.. rclxm9.gif

Anyhow, today is the last day for any possible free battery replacement as I received mine a day late. It might probably stays this way for a few more months based on experience. It is the point of time I am thinking why don't it get stuck at over 90% instead. bruce.gif

Now that I have to pay for it, won't change mine until I experiences slowdowns or at 80%.

I don’t wish to win this race but it keeps dropping non stop. sad.gif
I’m waiting for it to go down below 80% and will replace.
Below 80% in a year.
*
I don't want to worry about it anymore. Bought a wireless powerbank. Works awesome with the slimcase.

I will stick to the old battery as long as it is not going below 80 or advised to change per the battery health advisor in ios.

1 year old already.
can get free replacement?

Cannot. Have to pay already. 85% is still ok. Wait until 80 or until it crash then change...

What are the charges for replacing the battery at Machines btw?

thought i was the only one.

one year + one month and the battery drops to 90%.

by the way, what mode of charging have you been using (wireless, fast charge or slow charge)?.

i noticed that when i was using the 20W charger, the battery % drops significantly faster compared to when i was using the 5W.
*
It is just the 12 not sure about the 13 yet... considered yourself lucky as many here are below 90% already myself included tongue.gif

What a bummer. I know friends who own a XS and 11 with over 500 charge cycles and only at 85%

But is ok, the design is the sweetest afterall... rclxm9.gif nod.gif

Go to phone settings/privacy/analytics/aggregated logs(todays date). Copy the whole text, don't worry it will speed up as you keep scrolling down. Paste on note and type on find batterycyclecount. the number next to it is the charge cycle

My battery health haven't drop since august of last year. Still at ~87% tongue.gif
What's weird is looking at coconut battery info (updated latest version) is looking at 97% rclxub.gif
Only thing aligned with Apple version and coconut version is the battery cycles.

Would considering upgrade if it is not another stainless steel... there scratches all over the frame bruce.gif

Previous aluminum is still pristined...I bet it would be better if it is titanium as rumored. Still not sure will upgrade. Have plenty of time to think after it is announced, right?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 16 2022, 04:14 PM)
I’m happy to report that I managed to get the battery changed at Switch Seremban 2. My eSIM is also intact because I got to choose to keep my eSIM before deletion. Phone took a while (30-40 minutes) to restore to get into the main screen, it’s still restoring now as I’m typing here.

However, the experience of changing this battery wasn’t exactly smooth. The young lady who attended to my phone at first refused my battery replacement service because it hasn’t dropped below 80? She said must be at least 79%. Mine was at 81% and she said Apple won’t allow because it still didn’t appear the notice to ask me to get it replaced. sweat.gif I told her my phone has been stuck at 81% for months and in order to drop to 79% I probably need another one year. shakehead.gif

Then, I told her I am going for a vacation soon so I need to ensure it’s working well and I don’t need to bring a power bank wherever I go. She reluctantly asked me to run the diagnostic test and said if my phone failed the test then she will proceed with the battery replacement.

While waiting for the test to complete, he asked his another colleague to attend to me instead. Maybe I was really difficult to deal with but I swear I haven’t raised my voice yet. laugh.gif This young guy is superb and he immediately agreed to my request and helped me with everything. Unfortunately, my screen protector was also removed before can send in for fixing. I collected my phone 3 hours later. thumbup.gif
*
Very funny. I never change my battery at below 80% and never had any problem. Like she is following strict warranty protocol. Your screen protector needs to be removed cause the phone is open using a suction cup on the screen. Looks like you won't be on the market for the 14 pro max then.

Would be for the better too cause I am betting a redesign next year. Have been this way since the iPhone 6.

Yeah, you guessed it right! Are you getting the 14PM this round?
*
With the price increased? No way laugh.gif plus we have the 12 Pro/ Max which are still as great as ever. Also if Apple are on schedule, next year would be a redesign. thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif

I really hope it will be a new chassis material for the 15 Pro/ Max. Don't quite like the stainless steel stuff as I have gotten too many effortless scratches all over my phone. I get if it is just at the lightning port but everywhere else? Beats me.
