Finally it's coming. Malaysia's first Apple Store may open in Kuala Lumpur in 2022

The latest edition of The Edge Malaysia has reported that Apple may soon open its first retail store in the country as early as next year. This would be the first Apple Store in Malaysia and it is said to be located at The Exchange TRX, the new financial and business hub of Malaysia.

According to their sources, Apple Retail Store representatives have visited Malaysia recently to negotiate with the management of The Exchange TRX. It is reported that talks are at an advanced stage while another source of The Edge said there’s still a lot of “cajoling and convincing” required to get them to open the first Apple Retail Store in the Malaysia.

If the report is true, this makes Malaysia the 3rd market in Southeast Asia to have an Apple Store, after Singapore and Thailand. There are currently three in Singapore (Orchard Road, Jewel Changi and Marina Bay Sands) and two in Thailand (Iconsiam, Central World).

“The Exchange” is the retail component of Tun Razak Exchange which will offer 1.3 million square feet of lettable area. The Exchange TRX promises to bring new to market brands, flagship statement stores, experiential dining, leisure and entertainment concepts spanning more than 400 experience stores. It also features a 10-acre rooftop park and has direct connectivity to Sungai Buloh–Kajang and Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya MRT lines.

Some of the incoming tenants include luxury department store Seibu from Japan which will occupy 250,000 square feet of space across 4 floors. Dairy Farm International is reported to be opening a premium food store while Golden Screen Cinemas also plans to introduce a premium cinema experience at The Exchange. The new retail mall is expected to open in 2022

Finally got to try out the function of unlocking iPhone with Apple Watch. I didn't wear a mask as I didn't go out, so I covered my mouth with palm, it works as well.

Correct. I used to be bothered a lot by the battery health %. Yes, I still check from time to time and it’s now at 97% but I don’t care anymore. When the time comes, I will just change to a new battery. The battery life is still great for me though.

Ok, but with all due respect, all the brands nowadays have "proven drop protection". Even the so called "Torras", they all got some certified drop test results. Does not help me sleep better to know that the tempered glass is exposed in a front facing drop. I actually work in a similar industry and I engineer products to pass drop tests for a living, since 2006. You want an amount of gap, and you want another piece of glass to absorb the impact energy (preferably shatter). Usually these drop tests do not use machine drops that ensure the correct angle, and in the case of front facing glass, they usually have a smooth, hard surface on the floor which does not include tarmac or hard, uneven surfaces. These, will really need you to have a piece of glass in front.
How much front gap does their cases provide? They usually say front face protection but they don't include a generic tempered glass thickness of 0.3mm or so. I took a look at some and they have a raised edge on bottom and top edges only. Side is exposed...What makes anyone think the sides are not going to be impacted in a drop? And Raised bottom edge also hinders the swipe up gestures (which starts from the bottom)....

Thanks for your suggestion, actually I already asked similar question a while back, but maybe I constrained it too much to limit the price to less than RM100. Maybe next year when IP13 launches then I can try this one for cheap lol.

Yup I like to admire the beauty of my gold phone too n dont mind the yellowness of the casing  so still using a clear case from switcheasy which is magsafe compatible huhuu an advantage of having the gold phone, the yellowness of the casing is less noticeable bcoz the phone itself is yellow lol 

How’s everyone stainless steel bezel holding up so far? Those with pacific blue, graphite & gold. Are they getting hairline scratches on the coating?

iPad Mini is always my preferred choice due to the size and easy to hold for meetings but then it is only slightly bigger than 12 Pro Max.
I will think about it.
MacBook, I really won't say no because I know I will get one eventually.
AirPods Max unlikely because I am not a headphone fan. I'm more into earphones.
