Question, how much cheaper do you guys get from 11.11 on accessories like MagSafe wireless charger and the 20w adapter etc? Wondering if it’s worth the wait for 12.12 or just grab it from machines..

QUOTE(UrbanGraduate @ Dec 1 2020, 04:41 PM) Exactly having the same thought..but worry it’ll go into my drawer if traditional port charging works better/faster than wireless Anyone here switches from 18w adapter to 20w? Wondering if there’s any difference on battery lasting This post has been edited by dikae: Dec 1 2020, 04:44 PM RoastedChicken and mycolumn liked this post

QUOTE(attw @ Dec 1 2020, 07:51 PM) Hahaha, I think you’ll be tempted way before that if you keep scouring Carousell to hunt for deals on cases Me, I’ve wanted to get the MagSafe charger countless of times but just giving myself reason not to...mainly coz I’m not sure how often I’ll be using it compared to cable...unless next iphone model ditches the charging port then I’ll follow the change to go full wireless charger, by forcement Not sure if that’s coz they brought in limited stock or the whole marketing stunt Apple pulled off to sell these stuffs really worked and they are selling like hot cakes, haha. Anyway, I’m one of those few that are categorically just not keen on this MagSafe charger thingy. Anyone else in that group? All I see is Apple ori silicone cases |

QUOTE(attw @ Dec 6 2020, 07:59 PM) Another person looking for Apple leather case spotted Only coz they’ve extended the bottom part and I call it a real case now...wouldn’t want a case with exposed bottom then it defeat the purpose of having a case Looks like Apple accessories flying off the shelves this year. I don't remember any previous iPhones that generated so much interest in original Apple cases in LYN forum before |

QUOTE(mycolumn @ Dec 6 2020, 08:03 PM) Yahh especially the baltic blue and saddle brown 🤣 I think they did it right this year with the fully covered design. QUOTE(attw @ Dec 6 2020, 08:03 PM) Hahaha, yeah, I think that is the main driver this year. Previous original cases all had the bottom part exposed. Yeap haha...though still can’t really justify the price tag for a casing |

QUOTE(mycolumn @ Dec 6 2020, 08:10 PM) At first i thought so too. But after holding it in my hand, ok la. Feels really premium. 👍 Price straight away justified 🙈🤣 Yea with good phone we need good accessories to go with it too..been looking for good accessories for the phone and couldn’t think of anything better than a good case.Still a tad worried about the wear and tear on a leather case, say after 3-4 months of using....don’t wanna go through the hassle looking around for another case ...I’m now using ringke fusion as a temporary case..quite like the feel and the material (besides the sticky part on the side, which I still think it’ll somewhat damage the side chrome part on a long run lol) This post has been edited by dikae: Dec 6 2020, 08:27 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(fnarkaizho @ Dec 6 2020, 08:28 PM) I think the stainless steel part will be subjected to wear and tear unless you have the silver iPhone which you can polish. I already have a couple scratches on my gold stainless steel probably due to changing cases. I don't even know how it got there. By the way, is it just me or is it normal for some dust to stick on the side of the screen protector? QUOTE(sonicbreeze @ Dec 6 2020, 08:33 PM) did u use expensive casing or cheap casing? as far as i know those expensive n branded casing wont scratch ur phone Yeap I agree changing case often will leave hairline scratches on the side chrome...unless you’re using cases with micro fibre like the apple leather case..Yes it’s absolutely normal to have dust trap o the side of tempered glass... fnarkaizho liked this post

QUOTE(fnarkaizho @ Dec 6 2020, 08:55 PM) Seeing all the poison in this thread, I might jump to apple leather case in the future. Which mous did you get bro?*high five* Your bamboo looks great! Regretted not taking that or the walnut. QUOTE(attw @ Dec 6 2020, 08:55 PM) Yea it is lol....only reason I’m holding back buying from apple.com is because my current ringke fusion clear showcases the back and Pacific blue quite obvious.....only matter of time though before I switch to apple leather case..still won’t buy it from apple.com..but will immediately get it off the store if there are stocks available for the Baltic blue |

QUOTE(SonicSpyro @ Dec 7 2020, 12:26 AM) Got my 12PM 256GB Pacific Blue from Maxis last week. Welcome to the club bro.Bought a basic Hoda SP and a clear case with the phone. Thanks to the poison in this thread, I ordered the Saddle Brown a few hours ago. One thing I'd like to know from everyone else, how do you sanitise your phone after being outside? Or you just don't do it? I sanitize it sometimes maybe once a month or so...using alcohol wipes...coz I like the grippy feel after sanitising the screen and case..it also remove all the fingerprints or oils etc.....but don’t use any alcohols on leathers....only I’d you use tpu casings.. QUOTE(romuluz777 @ Dec 7 2020, 09:45 AM) Don't use alcohol based sanitizers on the iphone and its casing. It will harm the surface finish sooner or later. I normally use a non-alcohol based disinfectant wipes like those from caring or guardian. QUOTE(yvliew @ Dec 7 2020, 10:06 AM) was discussing this with a friend. That's why it's not the time to get leather casing. Everytime coming back from outside sure wipe with alcohol wipes. Already a habit since feb. I didn't bother about it much about the coating we had in our phones. was wiping away only on my 11 pro even on the lens. No issue until I sold it the time. Not sure about leather though. I’ve been using alcohol wipes on my spigen ultra hybrid since March too..no issue at all or any signs of wear caused by alcohols....as for the tempered glass surface, the coating is still good and perfect, but I normally put a new one before selling it out...just a habit... |

QUOTE(SMB002 @ Dec 7 2020, 08:02 PM) Yeah, gold. Damn it’s so big, like a brick. Ohh come share the research findings abit with us, we wanna know how bad it is in a long run It’s ok, magsafe is actually a negative for me. I helped my professor to do research in wireless charging previously, so I didn’t intend to use it. QUOTE(dreamthief @ Dec 7 2020, 08:20 PM) using this. But fair warning, iphone 12 PM + Apple leather case, very very snug fit. Still works. There's no point to resist. Resistance is futile.... |
