Thank you. I restarted my phone and it’s working now thank god.

By the way, does charging via the MagSafe charger heats up your phone?
*
Yes, slightly but acceptable. Anyway, I always charge the phone in an air-conditioned room.

Current leak from Fast Charging Adapter, anyone has the issue?

Diao recently get a few shock while charging my phone
*
I have it since long time ago. Using MagSafe wireless charger or wired cable is the same. So I know where is the current leak area. The side where the mute button is will be the worst. tongue.gif

okay...so it's a norm for FAST CHARGING/PD adapter lar?

I guess 20W is 4 times stronger than 5W that we feel nothing...right?
*
I have this issue with Baseus PD and original 20W Apple adapter but my cable is Baseus cable because it’s longer than the original Lightning cable. My MagSafe wireless charger is not original but my ori version is on the way to Malaysia so cannot verify yet. However, I have a feeling it’s due to 20W.

I see Im coming from android and this is my first time to IOS. No good deal probably going to take package only. Was just thinking if its really worth it to get or wait for iphone 13
*
If no urgency, then just wait. After all, just few months only.

I used to think Android is superior and I may regret once I switch over to iOS. My previous Android phone seems to have better specs than my current iPhone 12 Pro Max. I hesitated initially but took the leap and switched completely to iPhone for the first time.

Having this phone since Malaysia’s day 1 launch last year, so far I don’t have regret. Yes, I don’t call it a perfect phone, just like any other Android phone too, there is no perfect phone in this world. I thought I will miss my previous phone and no, I didn’t, not even a bit. I thought the lower refresh rate will be obvious on iPhone but I didn’t feel anything maybe because I’m not a gamer.

Will I go back to Android soon? I don’t think so. My spare phone is still Android though but for my primary phone, I guess I will stick to iPhone for few more years. The camera itself can make me continue staying in this camp. biggrin.gif

exactly same case here! biggrin.gif was a loyal 15 years android fan and decided to jumpship from android (htc u11) to iphone 11 due to maxis deal was too good but still so hesitant if iphone was not that appealing but turns out i was so wrong! till today, my cousins all still bashing me the android betrayer coz i used to condemn apple alot tongue.gif but glad iphone camera is so bloody good i dont wan to switch back
*
Yeah, I got the same "bashing" too because I was an Android loyalist in the past but not anymore now. blush.gif
I also spent a lot in this Apple ecosystem, how to go back la? laugh.gif

rclxms.gif gues this one convinces my decision to swich over to ios..been android user ever since staretd to use smartphone(2010)
*
Same here. smile.gif Give it a try and go back to Android if you don't like it.

Used iPhone pricing holds value much better than Android phones, so you can sell it at anytime.

hahaha same here!! i told myself i will jus stick to iphone and nothing more.....then mco 1.0 boredom made me tried the airpods pro, then airpods 2 as spare then suddenly apple watch series 5 40mm which later sold and bought 44mm, then the crazy amount of straps i used to buy till i tried every one of them out there in the market, damn it!!! then comes ipad mini and ipad air now......damnn this whole ecosystem is addictive and surely burns a whole in the pocket if u cant control  ranting.gif
*
I totally feel you and I feel that my iPad Mini 2 is way too old though I seldom use it. Then, I suddenly feel that it is maybe time to buy a new iPad. laugh.gif Looking at iPad Air or the possible new iPad Mini in September. dry.gif

Less than 2 weeks after I got my iPhone, I bought AirPods Pro. 2 months after that I got Apple Watch S6. shakehead.gif

My previous ipad mini 5 is super fast as its using the same A12 processor as the new iPad 10.2 (2020) & iPhone XS!! But things got greedy when i craved for bigger and nicer screen with latest A14 processor so went for iPad Air 4 which in my humble opinion is better buy in terms of pricing than iPad Pro if u dont mind the ProMotion 120Hz.......anyhow, owning apple devices makes u wonder first that u dont need them, but once u have used them then makes u think u should have need them way long ago  drool.gif  notworthy.gif
*
iPad Mini is always my preferred choice due to the size and easy to hold for meetings but then it is only slightly bigger than 12 Pro Max. laugh.gif
I will think about it. biggrin.gif

MacBook, I really won't say no because I know I will get one eventually. laugh.gif
AirPods Max unlikely because I am not a headphone fan. blush.gif I'm more into earphones. biggrin.gif

I got the AirPods max for music and AirPods Pro for exercising and phone calls. The headphones only because Apple uses their own audio codec apparently so it sounds better on their own products, even the same for Spotify and Apple Music on the apple devices.

But MacBook is a definite no for me cause I love my PC and games!
*
Man, you make me wanna get the headphones. laugh.gif

QUOTE(MisterKibz @ Jul 15 2021, 10:20 AM)
very true....as the phone size increases which i expect 13 pro max later to be slightly lesser than 7", then no use for me to get the Mini already hence i went for Air! And if the new mini comes out with so much lesser bezel then i think it will be 9" gua
*
It is rumoured to be 8.9" for the new iPad Mini, I think it still complements well with my 12 Pro Max. tongue.gif I really like the portability of Mini, unless I really get an iPad Air which actually is the better pairing with 12 PM.

I was waiting for the rumoured 8.9" until neck long long.  laugh.gif  I've only got an iPad Mini once, but gave it away when I realised it's actually not much bigger than my phones so decided not to carry another load.

Only recently got a second iPad in my life and that's the iPad Air. Definitely a better pairing with 12PM, I'd say.  biggrin.gif
*
I think this time is real. laugh.gif It is just whether are they going to announce it this year. tongue.gif

I am also tempted with iPad Air... Let me consider. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Jul 16 2021, 09:07 AM)
Haha yes..once u get a Macbook, u won't go back to the PC for personal. My first macbook pro is the early 2015 when force touch was just introduced. The trackpack pad is so intuitive u will wonder why PC laptops trackpad feels like stone age tech. Besides, getting a Macbook will have more advantage over a PC with all the other Apple stuff u have. It gonna be a seamless operation.
*
Yes, I knew about it. laugh.gif That's why I won't say no and I know I will get it soon, maybe next year. laugh.gif

At 94% now, got my phone on 18 Nov 2020

iPhone 12 Battery % (to be exact):

14 May 2021 - 99%
18 May 2021 - 98%
26 May 2021 - 97%
30 May 2021 - 96%
25 Jul 2021 - 95%
1 Aug 2021 - 94%

On May itself drop 4%. I think that's when i started to charge overnight. sweat.gif

My wife 12 Pro still at 100%, as she maintained 20-80 charging cycle. I used to do that, but then at one point i gave up. tongue.gif
*
I still charge it overnight but it is all good now. It has been maintaining 94% for a month compared to last few months which dropped quite drastically. I stopped using it to watch live broadcast and it helps because I used to watch few hours per day and phone heated up pretty bad. Now I switched this stuff to my spare Android phone and iPhone maintains at 94%. It is just an experiment to see which factor causes drainage to my phone.

I changed to wired charging few months ago when it dropped to 96%. I noticed long term streaming also will further deteriorate it and stop using it for long term streaming (like watching live broadcast) when it was 94%. It helps as it retained a month without dropping, I last checked last week and just checked it becomes 92% now. Holy. shakehead.gif I guess I really don’t want to bother it anymore and hope it drops more so that I can change to a new battery. laugh.gif

Idk why iphone so concern about their battery health as it sound dumb as an android user, dont get me wrong but its expected to have lower battery health, even your car every 2 years atleast will need to change a new battery.

Just use it and dont bother to check.
*
You are wrong and it doesn't sound dumb. If you bother to read some of the replies here where they compare with iPhone 11 series, clearly there is something wrong with iPhone 12 series. If the drop is not significant, I guess we won't bother to check as well.

Agree. I will rather have it not drop so drastically. I am not that keen sending it for warranty even if it qualifies. Just thinking about is very disheartening.
*
Exactly as if we have nothing better to do and keep checking on battery health. laugh.gif

I'm hoping more users will report this worldwide and Apple acknowledge this issue.

Totally don’t see how it links between rich and poor over a battery health issue on a phone...well maybe what you meant was rich people don’t care about phone battery issue coz they’d just dispose and replace a brand new one as they’ve got much better things to worry about? having said that though, you’d be really surprise to see how super rich people care more about petty stuffs than regular people..hashtag truestory biggrin.gif

Haha ok, actually android user dont care about battery life coz they dont have such problem to begin with since most android already having minimum 4000-5000mah nowadays, and the premium well even Samsung's or huawei's will price their phone near iphone's price. Dont get me wrong, i mean u buy such a premium price, but limit your usage just to save some battery health...lets hope next iphone they will give atleast 4.5kmah battery for their pro max. sorry if it's offensive to u guys. biggrin.gif
*
As a previous Android user, yes I bought premium phones when I was there too. The battery capacity can be much more than iPhone but in term of power management, it is nowhere like the latest versions of iPhone. Even iPhone 12 which seems to have battery issue also retains power better than some of the so-called premium Android phones. By the way, I only changed to iPhone last year and 12 PM is my first iPhone. I have been Android user all the while.
