Can anybody please comment on the comparison of battery life between 11 pro max and 12 pro max?

Also, do you guys think that 128gb is sufficient for one who mainly uses the phone to text on whatsapps and messenger? Getting one for my mom but can't decide which one to get lol.

text and messenger mostly? 128gb is more than sufficient. Even iphone 12 64gb would be enough. Unless she takes a lot photos of flowers and grandchildren.. better go for 128GB then.

And I think the pro Max’s rear lenses also stand out more than the pro, coz they are bigger and more noticeable (for those who wants to show off their new phones, aside from the new pacific blue colour, bigger lens contribute into that as well)

Speaking of design though, with a casing on it won’t be much different than the 11’s from aesthetic point of view, the feel of holding it though is a lot of difference biggrin.gif

Hmm... interesting. Never really compared the Pro Max and Pro camera lens physically side by side. Might do that the next time I’m in a retail store smile.gif

Yeah, agreed, you will only most likely appreciate the difference between the design of the 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max if you use the phones without a case. My wife concluded she liked the feeling of the 11 Pro Max better when used without a case coz the rounded edges makes it more comfortable to hold but with a case, all feels the same, hahaha...

Based on my personal experience and usage patterns, the 11 Pro Max will get me about 60-90 minutes more screen time. Standby times are about the same. And yes 128GB of storage is good enough based on that usage for your mum.

Friend's Samsung Note 9 screen issue and already repaired once for motherboard failure.

She got fed up with it, just walked in to Machines Sunway Velocity and bought iPhone 12 Pro Max Gold 256GB (she wanted blue or graphite but no stock lol).

Her secondary phone is iPhone X and bought Samsung for normal use. She said seems like destined to completely using iOS. laugh.gif Also influenced by me, I didn't expect she straight walked in to buy. laugh.gif

Samsung has a history of motherboard failures laugh.gif

I'm a bit more careful when it comes to influencing folks to switch from Android to iOS coz it can backfire spectacularly in a sense that they might totally hate it. When I was younger and had a bit more energy I would engage endlessly in the iPhone vs Android debates but now I just tend to let that slide, hahaha. Of course I still get some friends asking my opinion coz they know I have a penchant for changing and trying phones but I always ask them two questions: 1. What is your priority in choosing a phone and 2. What is your budget? Then you find they actually end up answering their own question, hahaha...

But of course, in your friend's case it's totally different since she already has an iPhone X as a secondary phone. Gold will look very, very good with a saddle brown leather case hmm.gif

I am okay with both. But sometimes her sisters will kepo a bit and ask questions like eh why didn't your son buy the latest ones for you ah this and that lol. If she feels no face then I also susah.

She doesn't take pics at all. I think 128gb should be okay already... Just can't choose which model to get for her now.

Great, the differences in battery life are not as significant as I thought. Thank you for your insight.

New experience, new learning for me but slowly adapting to it. Some of the stuff, it requires longer route compared to Android. For e.g., Android phones, easily access to the Quick Settings by pulling down the notification bar. iOS needs' Control Centre is just so-so, cannot completely disabling WiFi and Bluetooth (only for one day or something).

However, all in one I'm happy with the switch. No regret. biggrin.gif

Yes, my Android friends cannot brain why would we spend that much for a phone. I only told them, coming from Android, I think you gotta try it out yourself to know it. I really cannot say much because everyone's expectation is different. Just turn on our camera and you can see the difference. However, if camera is not your priority then we can stop this conversation already.

I got motherboard failure in Note 2 and didn't expect it still happening till today.

Haha I actually prefer the feel on the 12 pro max, it’s much easier to hold, more grippy, and feels smaller (thinner), or maybe just coz it’s newer so anything that’s new is better from psychological perspective tongue.gif

Below is a comparison between 11 PM and 12 PM rear lens...the 12 pro has the same lenses as 11PM
