Hi Thanks for ur recommendation~
My budget would be less than 200USD, so i guess i need to look for something cheaper.

Would u recommend the Little Dot MK range of amps to power the DT990? or Ibasso D2+ Boa?
*
No you cant compare the cheapest price online and wanted to get the same here in Malaysia. Msia tax on luxury goods are very Hefty. Last time DT990 Retail is about 2k plus. Buying online there is also another risk of getting counterfeit products.
DT440 is would a better choice if you are looking something within your budget.

i did a bit of reading on dt880, and seems like nearly everyone prefer the 600ohm version blink.gif
of course given the fact that it can be drive properly
and some comments mention dt880 is a bit sharp on treble side ......
this really makes me feel like going back to jaben with my own cd to test it.

during my audition last week, dt990 is incredible sharp on treble side.
I could barely put it on for 30 seconds (no offence to dt990 owner  biggrin.gif )
*
Yes, 600ohm ones sounds smoother and more amp-able.

As for DT990, if you can tolerate its treble, take a look at its bass extension and soundstage expansion.

I've got the same problem too. Only DT880 Pro is replacable from what i gathered.
Jaben, any ideas?
*
Replaceable but... sticky?!

QUOTE(more2teayap @ May 6 2011, 12:50 PM)
Is it possible to place other brand headphones headpads on DT440? DT440's are too thin, plus it's heavy keeps making me uncomfortable, I'm thinking pads something like Sennheiser HD558's. Is it possible to get those pads?
*
It can be taken out but will it fit?

It is the DT880 signature in portable, with a slight bit of upgrade on its details due to its Tesla technology.

Pro is more on the professional range. It has better isolation and most of them are made into closed ones. The sound signature is marginal difference as they are using same drivers.

Aggressive... for the portable ones, Stepdance, Secret amp are the aggressive ones.
For desktop, go-vibes peak pairs quite well with Beyer.
