They provide the list in their fb group. Or you can also whatsapp them to check whether you are on the list.

The prices now is being markup to insane proportions to the point they're not even local sets but are sold x4 the price of RM2299, imagine a local first set batch ... I've heard of a middle eastern guy residing in Malaysia who offered a retail reseller USD5k just for the first batch of PS5 we're getting, needless to say this is a golden opportunity for resellers in the coming months.

I wasn't unable to secure a set but am still looking forward to it, hopefully before March 2021

Why not? Most of the online merchants (including sony store) were taking excessive order hence cannot fulfill the demand. So it's no surprise that shopee is doing the same thing as well.

Expected. Since you can play ps4 games on ps5. Might as well just provide free ps4 games until ps4 life cycle ends. Then after that only start giving free ps5 games. They did the same thing on ps3-ps4 transition. Expected to wait for 2-3 years to reach that stage.

I would've imagined that the 59 units listed have been allocated to shopee and shopee alone. This is showing that they did not separate it whatsoever. And what are they gonna say system glitches too? Unlikely shopee with have lapses due to payment

Most likely it's due to improper communication and coordination between the merchants and sony Malaysia. They thought they could get such allocation, but somehow in the end the plan changed and they have no choice but to cancel some orders.

And for the violation term, I am not sure about that. Perhaps you can ask shopee.

The reason why I stick with AV receiver instead of being tempted by sound bar small form factor.

Sony HQ and top management already moved to US. So ya. They will always concentrate to US. According to statistic, US users are much more than Asia users. So their interest are always being taken care first while others have to wait.

since you mentioned AV receiver, I measured, if the PS5 put horizontal it will be same width with my yamaha AVR

Xbox market penetration there is slightly around 40% if not mistaken. The more reason Sony need to put more units there, or else customers who failed to get a PS5 may end up buying an Xbox.

Yes. But I don’t think we can put PS5 inside our entertainment cabinet like what we did to our Av receiver. The hot air will trapped inside and fry the console
