I’m very jealous. Just cancelled my order and reorder again at Apple Store Malaysia thinking that the 1st order got problem. I had emailed the public bank customer service regarding the payment that had been hold for a week. They said its up to the merchant aka apple to confirm the purchase then the payment will be cleared. Now back to the waiting game. So sad.

Quite excited about it. First new Mac in 7 years. First Mac Mini ever.

Anyone with Mac Mini M1 here can take power consumption measurement in Watts on sustained max CPU load...?

Which is more value buy?

Mac Mini M1 base model
MacBook Air M1 base model

Mac Mini has built in fan and 8 core GPU

Both are great value buy. One for desktop, one for portable - which one do you need ?

Finally shipped! But why i got my money back in my bank account? Early on, my bank account updated with the Apple Store (UNPOSTED) status disappeared & the money restored to my account. Then 3 days later, the status on the apple store changed to 'shipped'. I thought apple had cancelled my 2nd order. Am i getting mac mini for free? Or they will deduct after the parcel had been delivered. Hmm..

Is anyone seeing the macOS 11.2 update for Mac Mini now? I updated it last night but I think Apple pulled it this morning. I wonder why they pulled it.

There were some weird stuff going on during the update. Monitor blanks out which is normal but came back on out of sync with "digital static". A bit disconcerting. Waited for a few mins and the process pulled through.

Update: Right after, and I mean seconds after, posting the above, my Mac Mini kernel panicked as if to answer my question. This Apple neural engine is quite amazing.

Question - anyone here alternating between the m1 mac mini + another pc/laptop on a same monitor ? i'm having problems with my USB C - Displayport , it just wont output the display after i use the monitor with another laptop hdmi ( which i've switched off before turning on the m1 )

i had to always manually unplug and plug the cable back in on the mac mini for the display to be detected

Sounds like you need a KVM switch??

i didnt have this problem with my old macbook pro
