Mai i suggest you trigger a Live Chat with Apple Supports to rectify the issue. They may honor you with replacements under local AAR, or if they don't, you can still keep this chat and ticket number as a record. Who knows in future Apple decided to announce the battery defect and you may be eligible for some compensations.

Normally Apple only recognise it as an issue after 3 years. The compensation will be ignorable by then. Same like iPhone 6 & 6S battery issue last time, ppl sold the phone off for years already.

if you can get it at huge discounts then its worthy.
If you're paying full price, then its not so worthy as its at the near-end of the line cycle.

Ignore above if its urgent for you to get one on hand.

I've used these UGreen adaptor and charger since day-1 of my M1MBA. Never run into any problem so far. I using these UGreen and originals in 2 places that i regularly need to work in, and dont have to bring the charger set here and there. Just a sleeve of labtop and im on the move.

Checked my battery health today and saw the Maximum Capacity finally dropped to 99% for the first time.

Haha.. the purpose of sharing is not because of worry. This thing is disposable wear n tear things.

I believe many are keen to know how good is the battery lifespan for regular or daily basis heavy duty usage, especially for those who gonna get their first Mac. It also can serve as comparison for current owners who doubt if they have a lemon battery unit.

Im one heavy user on office works and using for long hours everyday with it. So i think sharing here just to shed some info and enlighten people who are seeking for this of reviews from real user with real data.

You can then choose to buy this current model, or the next generation.
New gen need wait for another 1-2 months lo.. Malaysia always launch new products 1 month later compared to first world countries, and waiting period estimated about another month.

Not really if you're light user.
Most Air users aren't heavy users that require constant peak performance. If you're on constant peak performance intensive task, then u will experienced the different between 7 and 8 cores.

Nonetheless, its better to have more cores if you intended to keep the device for many years to come.

Second this. My last MBA2013, never turned off since unbox day-1. Close the lid is all it takes. Current M1MBA have same practice, nvr run into any problem.

Remember, this is Mac, not PC.

Its oxidization from the sweats on ur palm to the aluminium.
I learned it from my first MBA, hence been putting on palm protective stickers since Day-1.

Perhaps u can try cleaning with alcohol swabs first, it could be dirts only.

Mine is okay, i dont shut off my MBA since day-1. What i do is just close the lid and leave it there.
During CNY, i didn't use much of my MBA, and it still have more than 80% of juices left by end of 6th day of non-utilization.

Mine is start from 1-JAN-2021.

Lith-ion battery need constant discharge and recharge to be healthy. If possible, try minimize 100% charge as much as possible. 20-80% is the best for healthy battery.

Nonetheless, battery is a wear and tear part with limited lifespan, hence no natter how u take care of it, the health will still drop.

Apple have a standard set of criteria to be categorised as “Faulty”. Example, below 800 charges your battery health drop below 75%. If u can show Apple ur battery have met those criteria, then they are more than willing to replace for u.

Btw, take it for a pinch of salt on what i give as an example, u need ask Apple through Apple LiveChat for actual diagnoses from Apple.

Not u say wan change then can change. These corporates are not first day in the market, they know ppl are taking advantages here and there.

120+ cycle shows a healthy battery usage.

Lithium-ion battery requires constant charge and discharge to remain in healthy conditions.
Older ppl always says high cycle of battery mean weak battery, which is entire not true to the technology in Lithium-ion battery. That was only true back before year 2000 era.

Rest assured, its good to go. You got a steal for that price.

No hesitations to proceed with Apple's updates, not only on Mac, but throughout all the products line as well.

Those are overpriced and doesnt perform well.

If u want smth good, get external Thunderbolt 4 casing and pair with SSD. I got myself an Acasis TB4 external case and paired with Kingston KC3000 SSD. The external drive is faster than the SOC internal memory in Read and Write speed.
