Power chords uses just 2 notes. 1st and 5th. Rock metal songs mainly use powerchords 90% of the time.Want to learn how to play electric guitar

QUOTE(TAZIO.N @ Nov 10 2020, 12:56 PM) Genre? QUOTE(Revoz @ Nov 10 2020, 12:56 PM) U need alot to learn 1st. Will it be hard for old uncle to pick up?Learn chords. Need to train ur finger to be softer 1st oso. U nvr play guitar dont expect ur finger can immediately soft. Better buy gitar kapok 1st for learning. QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Nov 10 2020, 12:57 PM) One thing about guitar for is it must feel right, besides sound right. Just to to guitar stores to test. Buying online may need to to send ur guitar to luthier to set it up corectly so that it intonates and have the right strings heights. Luthier? Intonates?Out of the box it may sound shot even for most expensive guitars. Sorry totally dun know what is that, will Google when go home |

Fender Squier Affinity series are very descent beginner guitars.
Youtube have lots of great lessons for sure! There are even headphone amps available. Vox used to make (years ago) those portable amps where you just plug it to the guitar and connect your own ear/head phones. Technology now should have advanced and have more options. Or as you like. those cheap bundle guitar + amp works too if its just for fun. As for difficulty level: Power chords are the easiest to get started. (This part is not difficult) As you move on to basic Chords on a guitar. C, G, Am, Em, D and F would mostly likely be learned (at least that's how I got started), F chord is a struggle for almost anyone who just started. common difficulty would be finger tip may hurt ( but will reduce overtime) Don't be too discouraged when there is no sound when you strum. overtime your fingers would gain the flexibility and strength. Strumming is also an initial challenge but nothing too difficult and overtime it would become 2nd nature. This post has been edited by Blackhaste: Nov 10 2020, 01:09 PM |

They're getting expensive and the quality is not so good. If TS wants to play rock and roll or metal, should avoid single coils. Go for Cort or Ibanez. 2020 Epiphone also good but pricey. For amp, no need to choose anything else, Boss katana 50 mkii |
