Haha. Ayam unker also. I play piano a bit, but sucked at guitar. Electric guitar is my favorite instruments but since i sucked at it, i turned to piano instead.

I think RM1k+ can get guitar and amp guah. Not really sure since out of the market for so long.

Anyway, just try starting with some chords, learn some power chords for some overdrive fun. And enjoize!

U need alot to learn 1st.
Learn chords. Need to train ur finger to be softer 1st oso. U nvr play guitar dont expect ur finger can immediately soft.

Better buy gitar kapok 1st for learning.

One thing about guitar for is it must feel right, besides sound right. Just to to guitar stores to test. Buying online may need to to send ur guitar to luthier to set it up corectly so that it intonates and have the right strings heights.

Out of the box it may sound shot even for most expensive guitars.

Power chords uses just 2 notes. 1st and 5th. Rock metal songs mainly use powerchords 90% of the time.

Fender Squier Affinity series are very descent beginner guitars.

There are even headphone amps available. Vox used to make (years ago) those portable amps where you just plug it to the guitar and connect your own ear/head phones. Technology now should have advanced and have more options.

Or as you like. those cheap bundle guitar + amp works too if its just for fun.

Those are Squiers and not true Fenders. They're getting expensive and the quality is not so good.

If TS wants to play rock and roll or metal, should avoid single coils.

Go for Cort or Ibanez.

2020 Epiphone also good but pricey.
For amp, no need to choose anything else, Boss katana 50 mkii

Stop listening to bad advice. You'll quit electric guitar very soon like this if you use such a terrible bundle.

Not hard if u really have the passion on guitar. Need to spend alot times on it as well. U dont know chord u cannot play.
Shud start from acoustic guitar 1st, and a book of guitar chords.
Do alot of spider walk exercise to soften ur finger.

Thought that we'll be having a bit more time at home during the MCO, decided to learn electric guitar.

Did a tiny bit of research and bought a Squier from Swee Lee and started learning around mid February

Was wondering why my guitar sounded crap compared to everyone's... only then I realized there's this thing called pedals

I also around your age, and just picked it up during MCO since got a bit more spare time and thought why not pick up another hobby.

Do this everyday for 30 days. Til ur finger doesnt feel tired or cramp.

Electric guitar can be easy or very hard. The key is choose which one you like. Don't listen to bad advice to start with acoustic first because you'll lose interest very fast if that's not your interests. The acoustic->electric route are outdated and bad advice.

You can jump straight to electric.

The hardest part about electric guitar is not chords or power chords.

it's finger independence, accuracy and muting (in addition to speed of course)

What kind of songs are you playing? Be comfortable with the common chords first(usually those acoustic)

Electric guitar depending on genre, will have power chords(easy), plucking note/solo (easy to difficult), if metal need very fast hand and stronger for the riffs

If you want to learn, just go ahead. I learned also by myself. My dad bought me a guitar when I was in Form 3. Imagine that it was before the exam where students started concentrated on study.

Last time in school there was music class until Form 3 and using recorder. I teach myself playing guitar and also piano. Later I go to classical guitar. I can plat flute or anything similar since the fingering are the same like sax, clarinet. I can play trumpet as well. The only thing I never learned is trombone.

That was long ago. My guitar is collecting dust. 

What kind of music normally listen? If you like music from the 60s like Beatles, I suggest start with acoustic guitar. Just invest in a decent acoustic electric guitar.

if you want to learn electric guitar, just buy the electric guitar, don't buy acoustic. Hard to learn or not you need to practice (less or alot, dpend on ur motor abilities), but pickup the guitar to train everyday regardless

dun be like me buy accoustic for 800, then leave in dust after I bought a starter pack for 1.2k 2 weeks later LUL

yamaha pacifica pac012 + orange crush amp 20w, is what the shop guy (musicbliss) sold to me as starter pack

but 20w quite loud if living in apartment. nowadays I just use audio interface instead of an amp, plug to pc.

Or you can try to buy used guitar,can get a bargain....
