Just wondering.
New CPUs and GPUs coming out huat huat, everyone trying to build new PC/upgrade
where do you guys usually see who's selling what and at what price?
I know LYN site got like 2-3 price lists, but is there anywhere else that lists more PC component sellers?
Closest I can think of is Lazada/Shopee

Use LYN pricelists as reference point for which model to hunt, then open shopee/lazada to find more cheaper offer.

I bought my whole rig from shopee n lazada. No shop can beat shopee prices . Still the cheapest in the market.

Mostly from Shopee. Hate Lazada constantly showing out of stock item and have to sort it to remove them.

Ohh... i thought everyone approaches sellers here on LYN forums, but then, these few days, I never see any big thread for those.

And very hard to get free shipping from Lazada
I only buy from Lazada if there are no better choice or slightly cheaper than Shopee (sometime it does happen, but very rare laugh.gif )

You mean retail resellers?

I did so for my rig back in 2014. Probably will do the same for the difficult and time-consuming parts such as the CPU, mobo, fans and case when I feel like getting a new rig. RAM, HDD, SSD and videocard will buy online locally and DIY myself since those are less of a hassle.

You pay through Lazada / Shopee, nothing to worry about
The money will only be released to the seller after you click "item received"

You pay directly to his bank account, then that's your own problem lah

Disagree. I always get my refund in Shopee as long as I provide valid proof for the refund

You need to submit your refund request before you press "Order Received"

I use Shopee (new parts) and Carousell/Garage Sales for used parts. In Shopee, I only check out a few shops like EtechPC, PC Byte, NetStore, and a few more other shops.

But how do you guys judge the trustworthiness of those not-established stores. I mean, I see someone selling a Ryzen 5600x for 1.5k saja, and yet other people selling it for 1.8k instead. Feels SO suspicious. And yet, those 1.8k clowns all claim to ship from China. cannot help but feel all of them are scammers

Glad I found this thread.

I've been searching around retail stores for the best price for a entry/mid level gaming rig but most seem to be more expensive than purchasing online yourself separately.

I will check out the online shops you suggested.

Anyone else have any reputable shopee stores?

This question is suspected of advertising. If the name of an online shopping site is mentioned, it will be said to be advertised.

Newegg.com has consistently been an extraordinary decision for purchasing a wide range of PC parts going from web cams to hard drives to video cards to control supplies to fans, and so forth, and so on ...

TigerDirect.com. ...

Crucial.com. ...

Frys.com. ...

Amazon.com and eBay.

I bought some IT peripherals, an SSD, HDD and other components from the likes of EIT, BananaIT, Livinggears, etc., all of which have 'Preferred' status. So far the items I bought all worked well.

The best advice is to go for 'Preferred' and 'Mall' status vendors (as what the others here mentioned and in other threads) as they're reputable. "Mall' vendors mostly consist of official stores like Nestle, Toshiba, WD, Samsung, etc. but there are also a handful of reputable vendors like All IT which also achieved this status as well.

Preferred seller does not guarantee you reputable , go check their profile -- > some of them selling Used / Open box / faulty Or demo unit to buyer .
