In this case, it was not because he was fired (actually he was only suspended), but what irked people was the mistreatment he received.

Thata usual case for.amoi auntie.pampered whole.lifes - bf courting days, superior bosses jaga for pretty staff, married to rich husband etc etc. Plus they have network after hopping to so many mncs, social gathering, churchgroup, etc. They have tbis cabal link, and male bosses will take care of them. You screwed if you step onto their toes.

Pressure from upper management to cut cost (sometimes due to their wrong decisions/directions), so they get rid of newer people/freshie/problematic ones. Imagine if they still can't lower the expenditure, the bosses are next in line and probably VSS. It's getting so common now, so many companies are trying funny ways to get rid of people.

Though there are crazy bosses like what you've described and HR does nothing about it.

Anyway, what goes around, comes around.

Work for lim family, hr run by wife, operation run by son and daughters.
