There should be new SOP to limit working hours at home. Such as all company work to be done through company laptop, which has daily usage time limit. Pass the time limit, and it will auto log off with 5 min warning. System access will be blocked until the next working day.

May sound ridiculous, but if wfh becomes long term norm, surely such a system will be implemented.

ya, since work provided lunch, gym, karaoke session, massage, etc, then those WFH don't get to enjoy such facility, can continue to enjoy those at their own cost, but later, claim reimbursement. Can or not?

After working hour, you can say you are not home already. Out shopping or what.

Even before Covid, your boss also know you are at home after office hour what.. smile.gif

Depends report under who

Once report under an architect. Pushy as fuark. Because he alone handle entire MNC company infra, expect everyone work same level/workload as him. Pay probably higher by not much.

Report under CEO. Chill and no kacau as long as get things done. His income probably 10x more than me so wont expect 10x more hardworking/workload than him

WFH is great for me though.. IT Operations here.. don't have to spend hours to commute to work = more time for myself for other activities.. expenses reduced a lot... don't have to put on a fake persona when at work ( this is honestly tiring me the most when I'm at work)

my team and manager is not chinaman boss.. they hardly bother me after my work time ends.. I'm not married yet so I don't have kids.. have my own room so no interruptions either from my family members..

company already provide allowances (travel allowance to pay electric bills, internet bills also claimable)… my desktop at home much faster and better than the company's crappy 2013 MacBook too, so my productivity increased actually when WFH..

when have less work tasks or none at all, can 'mengular' watch utube/movies/game if I wanted to..

gotta give my company credits, they're quite good at handling this pandemic times.. they're the one order all of us to WFH 2 weeks before official MCO starts on March.. provide work SOPs before government even announce their own SOP..

all in all, I have wayyy less stress/depression WFH than when I was before MCO.. but I still hate my job though.. topkek..

work life balance mean you need to compartmentize things

so things wouldnt mix

compartment 1 work, so in it you work kau kau

compartment 2 famili, so you focus famili no think work

like that is good

work ffrom home just blurr up the compartment line, you is famili time n work time , end up non stop famili work affected, at same time non stop work affect famili time, you will bcome restless

non-stop work n same time non-stop famili, no good

Bosses expect you are available 24/7 because hello, you are at home anyway right?

i find myself spending lesser time with family. I am physically here but glued to my machine due to workload.
you are expected to have that sense of urgency because economy isnt good, so better be on your toes and give that extra mile.
more than 10 hours a day
7 days a week

WFH has turned my otherwise decent working life to a corporate slave nightmare overnight.

I am exhausted and has come to hate my job in these past few months.

ok back to work tq for coming to my tedtalk

true that

since WFH, its really 24/7

boss know u will always be around

so the call can still come even after 8pm because he know ur at home and can access to notebook anytime

really annoying
