thanks for the tips - i will try the virtual mirror if the actual mirrors are no good - i think we all shud try, u know maybe we can avoid colliding with each other better during overtaking or lapping slower cars/letting race leaders past.
on wet racing - if it comes to rfactor i guess i need to upgrade my rig already.
lastly - am still having this pause during game in rfactor, luckily in our last session i had it twice during practice and not during race - still cannot figure our what is the problem, my rig?? or rfactor intallation?? or??
Yes...i have all three virtual mirrors on all the time so i have the top of my screen full of mirrors...max visibility. And i map the glances keys on the wheels for fast glancing during a race....especially in F1.
I hope if finally wet racing is incorporated, they'll have an option to disable the graphical wet effects and all the rain eye candies, but at the same time the rain is still simulated. Like this, ppl dont have upgrade just to get wet.
I think the pausing is caused by virtual mem allocation...i had 765mb of RAM last time and i does pause once during a race when the mem is loaded up. Windows will pause the app for a while and allocate the mem virtually. After allocation succesful, app will resume.
I notice a bug with this SPA track, the pit green light is always green. Many times during practice, i exit the pits from what appears to be green only to be penalised (credit deduction) for exiting under red.
And this also i think is the reason why i was DQ during a test race yesterday. I saw the pit light has turned to green but actually it was red, thats why i was DQ. The spotters just double confirming it. Rfactor dont state a reason for disqualification. Strange DQ also happened to me in Eurospeedway during the V8 season.
