guys, a quick one. can this phone's camera zoom when taking pictures? just bought one for a friend and it's not zooming. when pressed the zoom button, it says 'zoom is not available in this mode'. while when in video mode, it's able to zoom. anyone knows what's the problem?

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Feb 26 2008, 10:10 PM) i think at 3.2mp reso it cant zoom but if u down it to (example) 2mp or 1mp, u can use the zoom function...(base on my previous encounter on w700, cant zoom at 2mp reso, but w810 can zoom at 2mp reso) alright, bro. i'll try. thanks for the prompt reply. PS : does K800i and K810i's zoom function works this way too? just wondering.. |

QUOTE(StratOS @ Feb 26 2008, 10:20 PM) IN camera mode.. zoom function has been disabled.. coz whenever u zoom.. the pics gets blur.. I think only in video mode they allow u to zoom.. just tried. only able to zoom in VGA mode. at other resolutions except video, the same notice came out. wonder why SE disables it since it's labeled as a Cyber-shot camera phone. wanted to get this so so much but upon knowing about this, feels kinda disappointed. |

QUOTE(StratOS @ Feb 26 2008, 10:24 PM) k800 and k810 i tot also got limitation for zooming in camera mode..? no..? i'm not really sure but i think K810i has the zooming function, if not mistaken.Added on February 26, 2008, 10:26 pm Coz its not optical-zoom.. unless its optical zoom then they will allow u to zoom in camera mode as when u're using optical zoom, pics dun get blur when u zoom out.. and with normal digital zoom in SE phones now.. all will get pixelated or blurred out whenever u zoom, the quality is not there anymore.. Thats why they disable the zooming function in camera mode.. yea. i know it's just a digital zoom but sometimes it helps too even though the photos took might be pixelated. SE should at least try to include it. |

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Feb 27 2008, 07:28 PM) if its HER its ok arr...gurl more on looks, xkesah sgt about technical things...nway, purple sure suit her well... haha. but yet she mind! she was asking like "why no more zoom dy 1 when in 3MP,2MP,1MP? it's still a cyber-shot phone right?" nway about the zoom, even my 3.2mp p1, when it zoom it automatically decrease the mp digital zoom helps in certain situations where u need to take that very picture and couldn't care less about the quality. |

just realized that those crystal case with keypad protector isn't that good at all. yeah it might provide your keypad from scratches but if u hardly clean your phone, dust will stick in the spaces between the crystal case and the keypad thus making it dirty.
even worse is if those dust stick there long enough, it will have some irremovable stains on the keypad. just like what happened to mine. currently switched back to normal type crystal case. |

QUOTE(suiteng @ Mar 6 2008, 03:03 PM) QUOTE(junyetwong @ Mar 6 2008, 06:21 PM) ooh i see.. before this was trying to delete the theme from settings -> themes. what's nekkid? LOL hahahaah.. eeeh.. cannot zoom when taking pic? T.T yeah. the issue was posted around 1 week ago. apparently, it can only zoom when in VGA mode. not like K800i and K810i. anyway, it's not that bad. the slim body make heads turn too. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 7 2008, 10:01 PM) extras : K810i has image stabilizer while K770i doesn't. if you're looking for a slim & light SE phone with decent 3.2MP camera, get K770i. if u want one with a good camera and doesn't mind the thickness, get K810i. that's how i made my choice. |
