this is why many ppl still using W810i

guys..just modded my K770i's sound driver to Acoustic TNE v4.0 - Middle Sound & iBass. sound is much more louder & clearer compared to the original one. abit more bassy too. tested Extreme Audio III too but the sound is like distorted at high volume, not impressed. Dmitogor & TopSE v1.1 K-Series is at second place, just abit less bassy compared to TNE's. it's quite & sharp loud too.

anyway, here the guide on how to mod the drivers.

1. Install the USB Flash Drivers, you can get it here.
2. Open XS++. Shut down your your phone.
3. Click 'Connect'. Connect your phone while pressing & hold the C button using the USB cable.
4. Information of K770i will be extracted. Click on FSX then 'Start FSX'.
5. XS++ will then extract your phone's file system strcuture. wait till it's finished.
6. Open the directory as follows : IFS->SETTINGS->ACOUSTICS
7. Drag & drop all the 44 files into the mentioned directory.
8. Click 'Shutdown'. (remember this step!)
9. Disconnect your phone.

would like to get some reviews from you guys about the quality of the new drivers. it's definitely better than the original ones, but how good are the modded ones?

Noticed the Camera Lens is Buldgier than K770i!

i heard that the paint of the K770 get peel off easily?
which part and how true it is?

the keypad's paint tend to peel off after excessive usage. like the case of K800i. mine still looks okay after 2 months. think u can try get the phone skinned to overcome it.

but i like the original casing black colour..

skinning is like applying an extra thin layer of skin protection over your phone. this service is available @ Lowyat Plaza 7 major shopping malls. something like laptop's skin but thinner. the skin can be transparent too. means you still can see your black casing.

Mine still looks the same after a month. Hopefully nothing goes wrong..

May be SE has recognise the problem of paint peeling and solved for the the newer batches

as long as you take good care of it, don't use your nails to tap the keys & don't drop it, it'll be fine.

even SE make improvement in next batches but if users dun take care of their phone, its useless mar.

but the problem is why do SE phones tend to have manufacturing defects? keypad peeling, keypad cracks etc.

those issue related wif chemical reaction if im not mistaken,

so i think SE dun expert in this issue.

i mean`t the chrome peeling off problem not the keypad ...

think its the only Nokia phone which has this peeling problem right? anyway, SE has been improving on its quality. can see that on K850i & P1i.

OT: my w610i camera chrome button peeling too (little bit, but after a year usage only occurs )

I am new here. I just saw the mod for the sound driver... is really work... louder than the original. but i scare the IC will burn soon... anyway this sound driver can apply to other phone like w800i or w300i? let me know ya...
