Got this cool phone a few days ago for RM 550 in Penang, white color.
Am really loving it, best bang for buck.

Pictures are great under natural light, but cant say the same for dark conditions. Now am looking into installing the flash themes.

Cool, CID53 or CID 52 firmware? Recently i downgrade firmware (CID53 -> CID52), they charge me rm70. Well, it's better than not having CID52. HEhehehe... My K770 is now ready for heavy modding. ^^ XS++ v.3.1 ready.

Ya man I was quoted rm520 for normal color.
But the white one is RM 550, i dunno i kena tikam or not la lol.

I bought it in Prangin Mall, initially wanted to get the grey one, but no more stock.

i asked a shop there in penang.. perangin mall la.. what colour not sure be he said rm480.. maybe black i think.

CID53 is hard to mod and only can use JDFlasher which is hard to use, not user-friendly. CID52, can use XS++ v3.1 which is more user friendly, with GUI(Graphic User Interface).
Mods, too many. Can apply Flash theme, modded camera driver, modded sound driver, hide logo operator, light effect and many more.

i send it to shop, which they offer downgrade service. Man, really hard to find one. And really that lucky to find one.

the shop charge u how much for a downgrade?

the older fw can do mods eh..mods like sound driver and camera..does it make any significant diff?

actually he charge me rm80 but he give me 70.. lol...
well, older n new firmware can do mod, but that depends on modding software. Whether it support or not, depends on what firmware.

about the difference, yup, modded sound driver really makes a big difference. Loud n clearer. be careful not to burst your handphone speakers. Modded cam driver also good but since i never test it yet so i can't give any comment yet.

Since I more concentrate on my own work (which is programming) and kinda sick of seeing more codes, I just mod my handset one step at a time. I tried flash themes and light effect already for a mean time.

to answer yr questions... YES, it does make a huge diff.. esp the modded camera driver... and also the light effects that one of the members modded here

I used K770 before and i LOVE the camera quality.. with the modded driver ^^

JDFlasher is nt user friendly but its okie to use it if u accidentally upgraded it better than wasting money to downgrade it again.. and of cos, nt stopping u if u hav $$$

well... basically JDFlasher is a NON GUI software... whereby it looks smtg like those olden days installer which colors is all BLUE and robotic fonts Its hard for those who doesnt really like words and instructions... but to me, so far no problem but i had abit of difficulty while setting it up... after learned, it would very easy

the light effects for K770i is .. ermm.. if u know the there're two blue LED lights at the back cover.. which will only be lighted if the camera mode is activated.. and also those buttons with camera functions will be lighted up too... the modded driver will use those LCD lights outside of the camera mode.. maybe for incoming SMS or calls?? It will blink a few times.. its really cool.. try it

oh i see.. so it can mod the lights to be used when there's incoming call or sms.. i see.. very very2 cooooll..

abt the FW, u hav to ask other members coz i forgot edi.. if i'm not mistaken.. fixed a few bugs.. like detection of memory card.. etc etc... or maybe more ringtones/themes? sorry, this i cant answer u accurately
