Hi all,

I am planning to buy a newly comoleted condo and visited the unit. At first glance, there is something I wish to do to the toilet.

Please refer to the picture below, is it posisble to move the toilet bowl and the faucet few inches (2" to 3") to the left so that I could place a washing machine at the right side? If it is possible, normally how much is the estimated fee to do this kind of work?

Everything possible but 2~3"?

Looks like your sewer piping is directly in bathroom floor. This is major job like redoing the bathroom floor already.

No idea how expensive but it is not cheap. No other option? Don't think it worth.

Need to get permission from tenant below I believe.

Yeah...need to see if it's worth it and if it is possible for a condo, otherwise just have to place the washing machine somewhere else..

Don't think about moving toilet bowl in condo because this may involve lower floor unit.

For 2 to 3 inches, you may simply move the tap to the left.

Moving without hacking is the cheapest solution.
Less than RM20 if you DIY.

If hacking is involve, estimated around RM600 excluding the tiles cost.
And it also depends on how you want to tile back (full or partial piece) because the toilet bowl is blocking the tiles.

Can share the layout?
Looks like can shift the wash basin instead.

For condo, don't move the toilet. Very trouble later

U need to check if there is enough room to move the waste pipe first. If not enough, u cannot move it.

Anyway, best not to put the washing machine in the toilet to risks of electrical shock.

One cant move the sewage pipe without MC and lower unit approval ... a futile attempt.

I have seen it done for some condo units. They leave the original pipe alone and pull an extension. As a result, the WC will be much higher about 8 inches due to a box up around the extended pipe. Ugly but doable.

Such design only makes it difficult to sell in the future. Reminds me of the squating toilet era for homes.

not a wise move to put the washing machine in toilet

growing bacteria in a humid condition and not to mention machine parts will tends to get rusted and malfunction in long term
